5GB? HA! I have an 8GB memory card I use in my digital camera. This reminds me of something I saw around the same time, (early 2000's) back when the first Gen. iPod came out, and there was this hack where if you took it apart you could use the memory card in it in a DSLR camera and have a few hundred photos....I think like 800 or so...and that was somehow amazing, since there where no memory cards for DSLRs that high at the time, but impractical since iPods where so expensive then.
HOLY SHIT WHEN WAS THIS VIDEO MADE? 64MEGS of RAM!!!!!!!!!!!!! and a 5GB HDD HOLY I DOWNLOAD SHIT 4 TIMES THAT SIZE!!!! lol I just thinks its funny when the specs started that was not at all what I was expecting to hear
sony vegas movie editor, its only about £30 (convert that into whatever currency you mexicans use.) and its quite professional. its what you'd normally find for about £100.
Does anyone know if this video card is good for film editing? I bought a GIGABYTE GV-NX88T512HPV1 GeForce 8800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card
do video cards even matter for video editing? i thought the CPU did all the heavy duty computer grinding, the graphics card just deals with the out video that goes to your monitor.
you need an analogue capture card that can take a composite or s-video input. They're dirt cheap on ebay these days. Back in the day I used something called a FAST AV Master. Then once the footage is captured use any video editing app to edit it.
Hey, Can you guys check out some of my recnt videos, like "soullja boy suburban style"(dont worry, its not one of crappy hip-hop dance videos) and if you could, give me some tips. (some of my actors look young, but we're 15.)I would really appreciate your support!
How time flies... that DIY was made in 2000 or thereabouts, when 8gb hard drives were still pretty expensive. The computer had a FAST AV Master MJPEG capture card that compressed the video as it came in. We didn't have firewire or anything, just s-video. Thanks for the props!
u didn't answer his question...he meant what program did u use? and all of these are "zero budget" but you are probablly using Adobe After Effects...which is not free, and not even cheap. it is very expensive.
That was edited on a PC using Ulead Mediastudio pro -a very old version. This film was made 7 years ago and the computer specs are looking very dated. For sound editing I used (and still use) Cooledit.
Wow, I'm just going to comment in awe at every single one of your zero budget films, they're so inspiring! How long did it take you to make something like this? What video editing software do you use?

Yes it is woefully out of date. Consider this tip an historical artifact.

Tasselhof 3 years ago
Title should read: A demonstration of how any cheap computer can be used to make your film better.
And yes, you can edit with VCRs. It's what we had to do when the computers weren't good enough or cheap enough to make movies on.

It's a Matrox RT.X2 Core2 Duo System from Digital Video Computing. dvc dot uk dot com. It can handle HD which is nice.
