The F-15 wasnt ment to fly with one wing so it do not have that kind of computer(at the start)that it could stabilize the craft. But if you steer the craft like going to spin it to the oppsite side it is trying to spin (in right in this cause) you can keep the craft in level. It's not fake. It's very impressive piloting, for one. For the other, the horizontal stabilizer on the Eagle is huge and apparently provided sufficient stability to keep the aircraft from spinning out of control.

The F15 uses the flying tail for both pitch and roll as do a lot of modern fighters. So yes you could lose the wings and still have roll control.

Awsome. The pilot deserves just as much credit as the craft.
The Boeing B-17 would also fly after it had been shot all to hell. My grandfather has picturs of them with half of the tail missing & they made it back.

being shot to hell (full of holes) and having the wing blown the fuck off are two VERY different situations. This thing stayed aloft because of it's speed and its width... a B-17 missing a wing or even most of a wing would end up in a pile or floating in the ocean

It's not fake. It's very impressive piloting, for one. For the other, the horizontal stabilizer on the Eagle is huge and apparently provided sufficient stability to keep the aircraft from spinning out of control.
