@CycolacFan BBC America comes with mid price range satellite/cable and really old BBC shows like keeping up appearances and are you being served are on late at night on PBS (public broadcasting its a non profit type channel that basically no one besides intellectuals, old people and me watch. Pity that we in the states don't watch enough BBC, instead we watch the local variety which is mind numbing.

Both LoM & A2A are terrific shows. Nobody should ever try to remake something that was brilliant to begin with - what would be the point?

Would like to mention, tho, that the goodness goes both ways. Many Yanks love British shows, many Brits love American shows. We Yanks borrow more ideas because we have so many more TV channels to fill up! But if there's a difference in style, that doesn't make one better or worse than the other. Love what you can & ignore the rest. Long Live UK/US Telly!

It's a different approach. Like a movie trailer, it's about 2 minutes and they're more interested in communicating the various acts of the plot. The domestic trailers are usually quite brief and just try to communicate the overall feel of the show.

I live in scotland so i'm on series 2 aswell. For people who are watching series one, it is fantastic but series two is even better esspecially gene hunt's one liners, 1) you've got a very pretty face but you go on longer than the eurovision song conest.

I think its unfair to compare this to LOM because, independently, the show still held its own in terms of storylines and a new protagonist. I think it could have been worse if A2A was identical to LOM so I give the writers credit for that..
