Guys, stfu. i use a mac, and it works great! but i also have a pc with xp on it, and it works just fine to. the both complete the same tasks, i find the mac a bit faster and it makes up for the price. but it really dosent matter!
Mac operation system is the leading operating system so far. why? because it dose not crash or have viruses like windows and it is backed by a teach support that is actually making sure that there are no viruses in the mac world. The only operating system that windows has in the market is Windows XP. proof that XP is the best windows operating system. there are no corporations that run windows switching to the "new and improved Windows 7"

That's not true. Anybody can get a Mac if they want to, even if it's the average person who wants to run "normal things" (again, generalized). PC gets more expensive over time because if you don't know how to repair it yourself and if it's a laptop, it you will need to pay top dollar for repair or totally replace the unit, plus if you want software that comes pre-installed in your OS for average productivity, both Mac AND Linux beat Windows there. Expect to pay $100's more with Windows.
A mac lowest is 1200 plus tax, which is about 1300, a lowest pc,again, people who only do normal work on computers, 300 plus tax, 330. See the difference? And mac is hard to repair b/c it breaks about first year, mostly second. I went to a school that has a laptop program and the most people I know had to replace their macs/ accessory(which is about 3x more expensive) in the second or third year because of their charger problem, battery problem, etc. See the difference?
If it's under Apple Care, repairs on Macs are FREE. Macs normally don't break in the first year, unless if you slam it against a concrete floor. Plus Macs haven't had any charger/battery problems since the 90's, remember that Apple was under different management back then. Now it's different. The worst thing that happened to me on my Mac was resolved in a simple restart, without losing any of my data. Try doing that with Windows. See the difference?
Apple care is only 1 yr, thn additional warranty is $90-100a year,that's alot comparing to the $300netbook or $600 notebook. And you only loose data if you misuse your pc. But for mac, the tip of the charger breaks, it happens to many of my friends, and they had to replace it and it cost about $30-50, again, loads comparing to the price of pc. And there are so many games and programs you can run on pc you just can't run on mac without it being laggy and not fully functional even with bookcamp.
AppleCare is actually 3 years. When you buy a Mac, by default it comes with a 1 year warranty. A Netbook's functionality cannot be compared to a Macs because their processors are closer to the old Pentiums. The Magsafe Power Adapter tip really can't break, as it simply connects like a magnet and pops out went it is accidentally tugged. You can game on Mac - it's called OpenGL. Give me a Windows Program, I'll run it with VMWare Fusion. Now I'll give you a Mac program. See the difference?
Exactly, you have to buy extra warranty. And a better note book for 600 dollars, does everything macs can do and more. Try shooting games like combat arms or sf. It's going to lag majorly. Or left for dead and almost every good game with good graphics will lag majorly. Very unpleasant. And Windows have programs where they can run MacOnly programs, but there isn't that many.
No, you messed up in that last comment. You mistook AppleCare as being the one year warranty, don't turn things around. I said NETBOOKS can't compare to Macs because of their low specs. I don't think games like Left for Dead will lag on a Mac with an Intel Core2duo processor with 4 gigs of memory and OpenGL with an nvidia 9800 geforce GFX card. Ultimately which OS you choose is up to you, it's really down to what hardware you're working with and how the OS uses it.

Not 'probably', it's practically an ad, and that's not a secret at all. I've heard rumors about the Family Guy ads / Windows 7-themed episode for at least over a month now. The latter was dropped by Microsoft because it "didn't suit the brand" - why didn't they realize that earlier, anyway?
I have been on the same $400 PC for 5 years of web browsing and general use, use a PC and a Mac at work, different apps. No, I'm not saying that PC is better, but rather that I have the knowledge(very limited) to keep it running at a respectable speed. Apple care is only 1 yr, thn additional warranty is $90-100a year,that's alot comparing to the $300netbook or $600 notebook. And you only loose data if you misuse your pc. But for mac, the tip of the charger breaks, it happens to many of my friends, and they had to replace it and it cost about $30-50, again, loads comparing to the price of pc. And there are so many games and programs you can run on pc you just can't run on mac without it being laggy and not fully functional even with bookcamp.

AppleCare is actually 3 years. When you buy a Mac, by default it comes with a 1 year warranty. A Netbook's functionality cannot be compared to a Macs because their processors are closer to the old Pentiums. The Magsafe Power Adapter tip really can't break, as it simply connects like a magnet and pops out went it is accidentally tugged. You can game on Mac - it's called OpenGL. Give me a Windows Program, I'll run it with VMWare Fusion. Now I'll give you a Mac program. See the difference?

Exactly, you have to buy extra warranty. And a better note book for 600 dollars, does everything macs can do and more. Try shooting games like combat arms or sf. It's going to lag majorly. Or left for dead and almost every good game with good graphics will lag majorly. Very unpleasant. And Windows have programs where they can run MacOnly programs, but there isn't that many.

No, you messed up in that last comment. You mistook AppleCare as being the one year warranty, don't turn things around. I said NETBOOKS can't compare to Macs because of their low specs. I don't think games like Left for Dead will lag on a Mac with an Intel Core2duo processor with 4 gigs of memory and OpenGL with an nvidia 9800 geforce GFX card. It would be illegal to run "Hackintosh's", as only Macs are authorized to run programs like Final Cut. Don't you know anything about computers man?

You mistook mine too.I said 2 comments before a net book and laptops. not just talking about netbooks. and there are cheap offers, unlike macs, where you have to pay high for the cheapest laptop. Left for dead game and other shooting games are the highest and won't run on macs. And it is a hassle to use bootcamp and others. Also, i'm speaking as general public, why does it matter if it's illegal? people use illegal things all the time. I'm sure you download music illegally. does that matter? no

Bootcamp is so simple to work, it's basically like another Application. It's kind of obvious that you haven't really used a Mac to it's fullest potential, you seem to really underestimate it and I'm actually kind of amused by your claims, as you seem to keep insisting that Macs suck because they can't run games (which they can, flawlessly). I'm ending this little argument now because it's getting pointless. You need to learn more about computers before making claims

Oh?Because I have a mac right now and bootcamp isn't on it,its fairly new. When did I say mac sucks? I say that mac is great at functioning, BUT it cost too much. PC is cheaper and it works even better than mac at some points like gaming, and proof is that all the good games you see is in PC form. They would publish it if it works well on mac, but problem is it doesn't. I tried. If the game works on both OSes, then they would publish both like sims 3. But you don't see it. Where's your proof?

"It has better graphics and better memory than Mac" - Say that in Hollywood. Most powerful workstation is a MAC Pro (Using Final Cut Studio) with 32 gigs of DDR3 memory and with 4 TB HD Space and an 8 core Nehalem Processor. I7's can't touch it.
"Boot Camp your storage space is used up more and it costs money" - Boot Camp comes native with OSX now and doesn't have an extra cost, except buying the Windows O ironically.

Apple Care covers 3 years and the Genious Bars WILL take care of you, unlike shipping your PC's out back to the company or relying on a 3rd party tech shop who overcharge you when all they do is defrag and reformat your HD for you, which doesn't help most of the time.
Ultimately which OS you choose is up to you, it's really down to what hardware you're working with and how the OS uses it.

It's close enough, and an odd thing to say while using a BILLION dollar company supported by ad revenue. Selling out by using your brand creation is just another way...but it's not that different. Oh god, PC vs MAC comments? Being favored to an OS is like having a religion. People who argue which one is "better", are simply wasting their time.
We all learned about the difference of fact and opinion in elementary school, lets apply those concepts.
It's personal preference. Saying Windows sucks, or MAC sucks, doesn't make you part of any real elite OS legion, or any more 'pro' than people using other OS's.

That was my point, Steve Jobs is super rich too. MAC is with out question a great computer. But Steve Jobs sells a life style. I have seen MAC in more product placement than any other product. I don't blame Steve Jobs for taking advantage of tools...there are so many of them in this country.

Is that why I usually see more mac advertisements than windows? most of which attempt to call out windows as "too complicated". Mac only recently went quiet as a result of windows showing a 5 year old operating it and pretty much making mac eat its own words. windows can be run with thousands of computer brands. mac only runs on apple unless you mod your computer. I don't see much competition. may wanna stick with i-pods, i-phone, i-tunes and maybe fire the guy running the naming department"

I have been on the same $400 PC for 5 years of web browsing and general use, use a PC and a Mac at work, different apps. No, I'm not saying that PC is better, but rather that I have the knowledge(very limited) to keep it running at a respectable speed. Upgraded to vista and was not pleased, but still not really a hassle. No, I have not spent 90% of my time fixing errors. 6)There are different applications.
