  • Stepping aside from the yes or no question, folks who know anything about understand that Grocery store wine is typically not high quality in the first place, (there are always exceptions) and in the second place it it always over priced! I like the degree of separation between the two.

  • Thanks for your comment. We agree that everyone wants to the be the go-to business for their customers. Any business can accomplish this goal by some combination of better service, quality, selection, and pricing. Liquor stores will have an enormous advantage in the first three criteria -- all of which are important to wine customers. We strongly believe that consumers should have choices rather than being forced by law to buy from a select group of retailers.

    The one girl who says she will go to either the liquor store OR the grocery, whatever was MOST convenient....She exemplifies the consumer who now sees the liquor store as an OPTIONAL stop. Liquor stores want to be THE stop for wine needs. This is an example of how a local liquor store would be put out of business...
