I don't know why some people are too bothered that Mr QUINTOS professed ignorance over REGINE VELASQUEZ or her big-time career in the Philippines. Is it too hard to imagine that not every Filipino has heard of her? Is she newsworthy in the US like LEA SALONGA or IMELDA MARCOS?

You cant just assume that the guy is pretending not to know this person. You cant expect every Filip lives like you, and every Filip is exposed to Filip media. Kids only cared about whats important to them. Your child may be different cuz you chose to expose him/her to her Filip roots. Good for you! Frankly, I have never heard of this person until I visited Manila in 07. It does not mean I am ignorant. I just chose not to keep up with the latest star in the Phil when I was growing up.
@mheio i have a filipino friend an aguinaldo from cavite who doesnt even konew that there is a jolina magdangal that exists.some pipol lives in bubble. walang alam sa mundo ng masa. yes there is a possiblity that he is telling the truth.
