Of course, no card lasts forever, I would be stunned if one lasts longer than five years.

Partially because of consoles, partially because of the costs of making a game and how advanced they are now, requirements haven't been going up like they used to. I think every game released to date supports the 8800GT.

@thereddog223 theres no way GTX 260 SLI is lagging unless you running at 2560x1600 with 16xaa everything full detail... If you buy the HIGHEST end, it will last around 4 years. Until 2008, a 6800gt was still minimum req and would run nicely even tho it was made in 2004. Or in 2009, a 7900GT would still run fine but yet still needed an upgrade. But like i said, the 8xxx series changed the world.

What resolution also?

Not using AF or AA right?

Also good to have as little running in the background as possible.

Not overheating or anything right? And have a good power supply?

nothing else running in the backrground, no overheating and yeah a good power supply. im on 2048X1152 resolution so ille lower that and make sure AF is off and try again...
