I'm a skier and I can say that in the sport you get hurt more often and worse than almost any other sport. But the attitude Maier showed towards his falls is a great example on how to fall and get back up. Thank you for this video! It really has inspired me beyond belief.

Herman, born in Altenmarkt (no "e" in the last syllable) is probably the most gifted ski racer ever. He was unstoppable when he had that motorcycle accident and would easily have eclipsed the great Stenmark. Herman Meier was a fearless competitor on the slopes, He  became the most sucessful Austrian skier ever a daunting task because you must first qualify to ski for the Austrian team for nearly every race.
