Definite Kurosawa visual references and influences, running with he flag the colored smoke the movement. Her rag costume and kimono. The people exploding in the manner they did were definitely from the Kurosawa visual vocabulary. Its not so confusing, she is obviously dead and in some sort of afterlife hence the dead blue girls, the choir and all white background. That's why her dog days are over apparently. I love this song and enjoy the video. Its cool to see Kurosawa referenced.
