  • that man giving instruction to the band is looking like tom in the tom n jerry series..hehheeee

  • idiots don't know when to clap - there is a time when the performance is over!

  • Good. Inspiring. Thanks

  • looks like the chennai jerks who went to this concert has never attended a western classical concert .. there is a time for an ovation ..its always at the end..

  • @skanda33 Ummm... 'Chennai' jerks? Look up the same part of the concert from the northern cities as well buddy! The noise is worse :-)

Agree with u that the noise ruins it totally. But u r being unfair to Chennai.

  • adept777 please don't teach how to enjoy a classical concert if u do not know.... and about rights of concert goers... probably they did not know, but it isn't right... it is irritable and will be annoying the performers, it is not a circus show..

  • This incessant clapping is drowning the music in a way that is really disturbing to rest of the concert goers. I really hope people show more sense because the main point of a large orchestra is to appreciate the layers and each instrument how it adds to the composition.

  • rahman sir's such a phenomenon! gosh! i want a better language to describe him !!!!

  • @johami1 Listening to beautiful music completely without missing a single note has nothing 2 do wid tradition! It is plain common sense. Has it occurred to u dat sum of d people who come 2 listen fully are treated unfair wen dey hav to endure such noise? For pop dis is ok since the tunes are known. But here d interpretation is evrything. It's all new. Wats d pt in missing out on stuff just because few ppl can't wait to clap!? The only big picture here is music. Be sensible and don't miss THAT!

  • agreed, but hold your claps to the end

  • The western conductors and musicians are not used to interupting claps and whistles! But it is another experience for them! Why not?

  • I DON'T LIKE THE LAST PART OF THE MUSIC CAME FROM STUPID ACTOR RAJINI KANTH'S MOVIE 'MUTHU'.

REST OF THE MUSIC IS OK, BUT ONLY THIS MUTHU MOVIE MUSIC CAME, I RRITIATED THAT APPLUASE CAME FROM CROWD DIDN'T LIKE IT FROM MY TRUE BOTTOM OF MY HEART

  • @arulprakash2000 the blow(trumpet sound) which rahman produced is truly classic. forget about rajini's movie and all, as a music it is indeed good

  • @arulprakash2000 If not for Rajini that music would not have conceptualized. If not for Rahman this music would not have got created. If not for you this reply would not have exist.

  • @alexiusluke Sollitar. MBA.

  • It is quite natural for people to clap when a medley is being played in a symphony orchestra... i understand if it is a single piece... the clap should be at end... but medley is meant for people to enjoy and it is but natural to here clapping sounds in the middle... it happened even when John Williams did a medley with all the track... at one point the applause noise was so high that even the people there couldn hear what the orchestra was playing it was when the TITANIC track was played...

  • Friends ,

Please list all the song names and the musicians , please

  • before criticizing other, take a look back at ur life..what have u achieved compared to them?? I bet those pathetic critics come from pathetic losers..

  • ugh the applause in the end really killed it...indians are so over enthu for everything - lol...

  • Guys, Do you know whats the song after "malarnthum malaratha"? i believe its by Shankar-Jaikishan!!

  • does anyone know what song is played at 2.49?

  • @Kavery25 It's Aapki Nazroon ne Samjha from Anpadh..Music by madan mohan

  • no it's from tamil film paasa malar music - m.s.viswanathan

  • gr8 music!! have to applaud the rest of the musicians to play so well!!!

  • awesome...

  • First, STOP condemning the happy/excited clapping audience and don’t be a bunch of piracy losers. I think that the concert goers (who paid to attend such beautiful events) have all the right to applaud if they are so taken with [a performance] and they want to show their appreciation. And as a matter of fact it should be promoted within classical concert goers ( musicians will only be enthused to perform better).

  • @adept777 There is a well-defined etiquette for the people who attend any western orchestral concert. Many musicians resent people making any loud noise or applause during the performance. But there are some exceptions such as Mozart who wanted his audience to applaud. But generally it will be better if we save it for the end.An orchestral concert is such a delicate experience that not even a fraction of music should not be let drowned in noise.

  • @adept777 first of all, the concert-goers did not pay. It was a free concert. Also,at paid concerts (Symphony Orchestra of India) the audience is so quiet during the music that you can hear a pin drop but when the music is over they clap so much that I can't speak to anyone. If you don't believe me go to one of the of their concerts( they're performing Carmina Burana on 25th and 26th, with 300 musicisians)

  • @adept777 This isn't a telugu or Rajnikanth film where every time he lifts his legs, the audience roars. Typical symphony concerts request you to hold applause until the end. Of course, this is India. If some star passes gas or something, they'll give full praise.

  • @adept777 You have no idea how disturbing it is when the applause destroys those fine moments you want to hear. And reserving claps to the end is only asking for more civilisation, not a criminal activity.

  • @adept777 Dude the condemnation is bcoz it will severely affect the concentration of the musicians.. and the synch which is the soul will be lost.. Audience can very well appreciate at the end..

  • @adept777 u may think u are right and what u say may seem promoting, but clapping during a musical piece is just disturbing and irritating for the musicians and especially the atmosphere which only gets torn apart by such noise!I am not saying don't clap! Please do!! but do it at the end, after the musicians have finished and the atmosphere created has had the chance to have it's effects on any thing or any one. then clap! clap until you can't feel your hands anymore.

    but thats just my opinion.

  • @adept777 coz rahmaan himself has applauded people for not clapping incessantly and enjoying the music!

  • @adept777 Der r others 2 dat paid to enjoy it who dont wanna miss a single note. How is disturbing d melody with untimely noise fair to dos ppl. I went with severe fever all the way to blore to watch the concert. The audience ruined some of the best parts with clapping and whistling. All the beautiful chords where drowned. I am a musician myself. Symphony gets rly disturbed when der s external noise. D whole effect gets ruined. Cheering 4 a live pop concert is diff. Dis s symphony. Ders a diff.

  • Idiots, drownsing the music with claps, which should happen at the end.

  • Flute guy must be really pissed inside to hear the annoying claps and yelling.

But IR's Sendhoora poove was short-lived #disappointed. Loved the rest of the tributes though.
