I wish the Bay City Rollers would have a reunion tour in the US and Canada like they did in Japan. I would pick the Rollers who performed in North America-Derek, Alan, Leslie, Woody, Eric, Ian, Pat, and Duncan. (Maybe Nobby Clark, who sang lead on the Rollers' first hit, "Keep On Dancing", but I think Nobby and the man who Woody replaced, John Devine, were before the US era).
Talk about a BCR re'UNION'! Even Ian and Pat are there! Not exactly the best song choice in my opinion...a little too 1980's feel to it. I met Ian back in '02 while he was doing a solo tour. A totally awsome concert! Lots of energy! Ian was the coolest dude on the planet. I still showcase my autographed CD's and photos of Ian!
i think you're just not looking closely enough! they're all 3 still adoable and pat-and his incredible smile have had me weak-in-th-knees for over 30 years now!!!
I am a major Fan of BF and BCRs, though here in America Bucks Fizz had no real success. This is my favorite Bucks Fizz song, I interviewed Ian and Duncan on radio in 1987, and I did not even know they covered this song until just now. Too bad I did not ask them about it. This must be on "Ricochet," I think the one album of them I do not have; Ian asked me if I had it. I think BF's version of this was definitive but I like anything the Rollers do, and this was great to see...versions continue.
I was a huge fan of the BCR back in the 70's early 80's Les always my fave, but this is the ultimate seeing all of them performing together. You can see that they all enjoy performing together. It's so cool!
How 80's, they're so different here. Wonder how/why they pulled this off, Les had quit a few years earlier. Alan and his two replacements are also here but no Duncan.
OMG! Why are those people sitting and clapping calmly? These guys are adorable... no matter where... no matter when! But... something is missing... Oh yeh! Duncan! (right Dawn?) Love it! Thanks for sending it to me Heather :-)) & thanks for posting leoshino!
The BCR's planned to do a full reunion with all past band members. An attempt to bring Duncan was unattainable due to restrictions at that time on South Africans for the treatment of the coloured South Africans in their country.
@TradaBoy Actually yes, Duncan was a member of the Bay City Rollers... a lot of the material they used when Duncan first signed on was BCR material ... not to mention he was listed as a BCR member in Magazines... an autographed poster I have of the Bay City Rollers has Duncan on it and he signed it for me...
Somehow I missed this one. I love seeing them altogether like that. Duncan would've made it complete. Love Ian's hair! And I could've use a lot more Eric!
Yeh, but would he have done? I mean come on. They had 3 guitarist. Wot would he be playing? Alan was on keyboard and Woody was on bass (in a way he stole Alan's thunder). I think it should have been DUncan instead pf Les.
now, you know i'll ALWAYS agree on giving pat more credit, but to me, les is the voice of the rollers-he's the one that hooked me in the first place!!
OMG totally weird seeing them in the 80's I never new they were still together I was into 80's music totally forgot about the BCR basically hey I was only tiny like 7 when they were out sooo. Woody looks so diff with short hai it so crazy I never knew-COOL FROM 70'S HAIRDO'S TO 80'S ONES WELL ROCK ON BCR
I enjoyed that. I think I viewed it a few months ago but didn't pay attention. Not a fan of the song. BUT... now looking at it again, I dressed just like Les here at that time in my life (junior in high school), I think I still have an outfit to go with his! ROFL, BUT... I would have taken Woody to the backseat of my car in a heartbeat! Oh the memories...
What a great video! All the guys together... Pity I didn't live in Japan in the 70's & 80's! At least I would have had the chance to see the guys play live with the number of concerts they performed there! I can only hope they make it back to Oz one day...
Eric is all the way on the left with Ian... I didn't recognize him at first. They didn't show him much at all. They didn't really show Alan much either but he was there with the keyboards and we could catch a few glimpses of Derek on the guitar. Also a rare glimpse of Woody and Pat all of the way to the right of Les. I would have LOVED to see them all together! Love the BCR!!!!!
these truly were the golden days of the Rollers. They never looked or sounded better than in this era. And where else could you get a lineup of 7 hotter men? Wish i had a Roller of my own...sigh...I love Eric and Woody to this day...

OMG!! What a treat for any Roller fan. It's the first time I saw all of them on stage at the same time, (Alan too!).They all look look a bit matured, and Eric & Les, (my fav) look good with a bit more meat on their bones!
This is abysmal. I love the Rollers and the original version of this song is a major guilty pleasure of mine, but this was such a bad idea. Woody looks great though and Ian is just a legend.
