Mosts host now allow you upload the zip file then extract it online and will save lots of time. Just go ahead and upload the zip and in filemanager click the file and select extract. Works for hosts like hostgator or godaddy. Believe me it saves lots of time, had it uploaded and extracted in less than 5 mins..
