You quoted from the Didache and a letter that are not biblical. There is no support of anyone practing mass in the bible. So you are saying that if I came home from work on sunday and sat down to eat some bread and read my bible that I was taking mass? get outta here! LOL If you read the OT, then you would know that ALL of God's days begin at evening and end at evening (see gen chap 1 how everything begins at evening and ends when daylight is no more) so when they broke bread (acts 20:7) on the
And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." Peter's name does indeed mean the rock, but when Jesus said to "Upon this rock I will build my church" He wasn't talking about Peter. If you back up to verse 16, you will find that the rock that he was talking about was Peter's confession that Jesus was the Christ, which the gates of hell shall not
@MysticalCity when I say confession, I dont mean he sat in a confessional box and confessed sins, I mean he was confessing that Jesus is the Christ in verses14-16. That was what Jesus going to build his church against and they gates o hell was going not prevail against...that Jesus is the Christ! not peter
2 Thess. 2:15 - we are to hold fast to apostolic tradition, whether it is oral or written. The 2,000 year-old tradition of the Church is that the apostles changed the Sabbath day of worship from Saturday to Sunday.
Col. 2:16-17 - Paul teaches that the Sabbath was only a shadow of what was fulfilled in Christ, and says "let no one pass judgment any more over a Sabbath."
@MysticalCity wrong, col 2:16 was said because the colossians kept the sabbath, feast days, didnt eat pork, and so on....this was said because people were passing judgement on them because they worshipped the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob
@Shaqpack609 sabbath is no more. The apostles broke bread(Mass) on Sunday. Matt. 28:1; Mark 16:2,9; John 20:1,19- the Gospel writers purposely reveal Jesus' resurrection and appearances were on Sunday. This is because Sunday had now become the most important day in the life of the Church.
1 Cor. 16:2 - Paul instructs the Corinthians to make contributions to the churches "on the first day of the week," which is Sunday. This is because the primary day of Christian worship is Sunday.
@MysticalCity Just because someone broke break on sunday (which is not mass) does not make it the day of worship. If you feel like the Sabbath has been nailed to the cross, then why are Paul and the rest of apostles keeping it in the book of Acts? "And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three Sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures," (Acts 17:2). Acts happened YEARS after the cross and Paul was still keeping it. Why? because IT WAS A COMMANDMENT!
@Shaqpack609 i already gave you many verses, God gave the Catholic Church the power to change things,Matthew(16:19) Of course the apostles breaking bread symbolized Mass.
@Shaqpack609 John 6:55 - further, the phrases "real" food and "real" drink use the word "alethes." "Alethes" means "really" or "truly," and would only be used if there were doubts concerning the reality of Jesus' flesh and blood as being food and drink. Thus, Jesus is emphasizing the miracle of His body and blood being actual food and drink.
@Shaqpack609 One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, this means it can be traced back to Jesus(2nd person of The Holy Trinity) and the apostles, all the saints did mass on Sunday, saturday is no more, so your telling me that people waited 2000 years to get the answer from a guy on youtube, that interprets scripture based on his opinion?
@Shaqpack609 also Paul went preach! if you continued reading the passage NOT ONE VERSE, these people were not believers of Christ, they did not believe he resurrected, is he going to be preaching to them in the temple on Sunday when no one is there? of course not, he was preaching, don't get it twisted.
@MysticalCity no man, Paul and EVERYONE else preached on the sabbath because everyonein the Bible did so because it was a Sabbath of God. Read Lev 23. Paul kept on preaching every sabbath. Read the next chapter. Are you a catholic? did you know that the Sabbath was "changed" by the catholic church in 325 AD by constantine and he killed any true Christian that kept it?
@Shaqpack609 St.Constantine killed every Christian? really? whats next Jesus had relations with Mary Magdalen? your info is false, did you get your info from utube? and of course im Catholic, not a denomination that started 1500 years later that picks and chooses Bible verses, BTW Lev 23(fail) old testament man, THE OT IS no more, is there still eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth? ok then, St.Paul preached to the jews and gentiles because they did not believe In Jesus! the jews werent going
@MysticalCity Constantine was a PAGAN. Look this information up in any secular encyclopedia: Constantine at the council of Nicea in 325 AD implemeted the false doctrines of easter, christmas, etc to appease the pagans and he was the one who changed the observance of the Sabbath to Sunday. Read your catechism, its in the Catholic dogma. If you allow me to show you, I can open your eyes to this matter. Yes, I did quote from the OT becase it is NOT FULLFILLED. I will show you through common sense
I guess Zechariah 12 is no more when it talks about the return of Jesus Christ, or Isa 66 when Jesus will come back and kill people with fire which paul quoted in 2 thesalonians. Dont you understand that the New Testament is built off of the old? EVERYTHING, was prophecied in old that was going to happen in the new and there are PLENTY of times, like in Daniel 12 it talks about the Lord regathering Israel by Michael the archangel...THAT HAS NOT been fulfilled yet so the OT is NOT DONE AWAY WITH
@Shaqpack609 going to be at the temple on Sunday! do you not realize the verses i already gave you? Rev 1:10 - John specifically points out that he witnesses the heavenly Eucharistic liturgy on Sunday, the Lord's day, the new day of rest in Christ.
Matt. 16:19; 18:18 - whatever the Church binds on earth is bound in heaven. Since the resurrection, Mass has been principally celebrated on Sunday.
@MysticalCity rev 1:10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,. This says NOTHING ABOUT it being on sunday, it has always been on the Sabbath. God would NEVER change. He said it himself in Malachi 3:6. Even Paul said Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Heb 13:8) then if Jesus kept the Sabbath (Luke 4:14-16) then that means he would keep the sabbath forever. In Mark 2:28 "Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath."
He declared himself to be the Lord of the Sabbath (Sunday? I think not!) Matt 16:16-20 16And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. 18And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
day of the week, that means that they started on what we call saturday evening. And paul continued his speech until midnight, so Paul did not talk all day, he only talked for a few hours, probaly about what happened that sabbath. All it said was they ate bread and talked about the word of God, it didnt say anything about having a Holy Convacation (Lev) 23:1-3 like how you are supposed to on the sabbath. But since Catholicism is on the table, lets see what the word of God says about these
@MysticalCity doctrines you follow from the "so-called" Christian Church. Lets see what the Messiah JesusChrist Said "And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven." hmmm, how many times do you go to a confession box and say "Holy Father, I have..." That is an abominatio in the eyes of Jesus. Lets see what else the bible says 1 tim 4:1-4
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith,
@Shaqpack609 you mean Catholic Church, you literally just embarrassed yourself, you are truly ignorant of the Bible. im going to send you verses proving you wrong, ill message you because there is not enough space.
@Shaqpack609 "If, therefore, those who were brought up in the ancient order of things have come to the possession of a new hope, no longer observing the Sabbath, but living in the observance of the Lord's Day, on which also our life has sprung up again by Him and by His death--whom some deny, by which mystery we have obtained faith, and therefore endure, that we may be found the disciples of Jesus Christ, our only Master." Ignatius, To the Magnesians, 9:1 (A.D. 110).
@Shaqpack609 On the Lord's own day, assemble in common to break bread and offer thanks, but first confess your sins so that your sacrifice may be pure." Didache, 14 (A.D. 90).
this is why people who are not Catholic are ignorant of many things, THE APOSTLES BROKE BREAD ON SUNDAY! SUNDAY! AND THE CATHOLIC CHURCH HAS BEEN DOING IT SINCE, and you said St.Constantine killed christians and changed it? fail, epic fail at that, when the early church fathers celebrated every Sunday.
Acts 20:7 - this text shows the apostolic tradition of gathering together to celebrate the Eucharist on Sunday, the "first day of the week." Luke documents the principle worship was on Sunday because this was one of the departures from the Jewish form of worship.
1 Cor. 16:2 - Paul instructs the Corinthians to make contributions to the churches "on the first day of the week," which is Sunday. This is because the primary day of Christian worship is Sunday.
stop spreading this nonsense, anyone that is not Catholic just interprets scripture the way they want to.
Matt. 28:1; Mark 16:2,9; John 20:1,19- the Gospel writers purposely reveal Jesus' resurrection and appearances were on Sunday. This is because Sunday had now become the most important day in the life of the Church.
Rev 1:10 - John specifically points out that he witnesses the heavenly Eucharistic liturgy on Sunday, the Lord's day, the new day of rest in Christ.
yes we are ignorant! lol Happy Easter What is the defintion of the word Passover, whats up with the story with the Lambs Blood on the doors of the Hebrews and God Passed over their houses durning the last plague? Teach me Preacher? We all get confused! lol
I may not agree with everything this man preaches/teaches, but he's knocking some folk over the head with this one (even though I don't think he really knows what Dan 9 really means). The doctrine that Jesus died on "good Friday" is definitely according to Roman Catholic tradition/myth! Imo (which means NOTHING), this was done to try to keep Christianity SEPARATE from Judaism (when Christianity came forth FROM Judaism)! Can you imagine the implications of Jesus arising on the Sabbath?
@iHymn75 NOT that the day Jesus arose should be an issue (b/c it SHOULD NOT BE)! I'm just saying that, since Rome wanted to rule/run/direct Christianity, it wasn't "profitable" in their eyes that Jesus rose on the Sabbath so they changed/altered the scripts to point to Sunday (or the 1st day of the week) when the scripts NEVER actually say "upon the 1st day of the week"! It says, "on one Sabbath..."! So then they had to change Sabbath to mean "week" rather than a specific day!
JOSHUA 9:14 Joshua and the other men did NOT seek the council of the Lord on this "covenant". Joshua made this covenant..not the Lord..! But the covenant was valid anyway because they did what..? because of what verse 18 says. They made a covenant and invoked the LORD on it..so that made it valid. see the difference now..TIKA..?
A Hudnah is concluded only between the Moslems and non-Moslems, when the Moslem side feels itself, at a certain point, too weak to carry on the jihad. The aim of the hudnah -- cessation of hostilities for a limited period -- is to gain time in order to strengthen the Moslem military capability, and restart the war from a better condition. Hudnah also aims at tranquilizing the enemy to believe that it has achieved peace, and catch him off guard.
Daniel 9:27 - Understanding does not work as a literal 7-days to mean Wednesday.
The time period of the 70 weeks begins at Daniel 9:24, (25) tells us that it shall be 69 weeks unto the coming of the Messiah the Prince, Jesus. The word Messiah means the "Annointed one"
When was Jesus Annointed? When the Holy Spirit came upon him.
In order to accept Daniel 9:27 as literal days means Jesus would have had to die exactly 1 WEEK (70th) after his Baptism (69th). Doesn't work.
@Tikal007 That's what YOU say.. But let's go see what JESUS says ok..?
Jesus said in MATT 12:39 as JONAH was 3 days and 3 nights in the whale's belly so shall the son of man ( Jesus )..be 3 days and 3 nights in the heart of the earth ( Jesus speaking of being in the tomb ).
You don't get 3 days and 3 nights from Friday sundown to Sunday morn when the women came to the tomb..period..! Jesus raised Saturday night at sundown not Sunday morning.
He's right about Wed..but he's off with the Dan 9:27 verse..
That covenant in Dan 9:27 speaks of the one that Anti Christ makes with the Jews after the Jews rebuild the Temple..! " HE " in verse 27 is Anti Christ.. but the info on Jesus and Wed being in the tomb is correct.
@EWETUBER2...Actually Dan 9:27 is a two fold scripture, prophet Daniel is communitcating in 3rd party. The beginning of v27 speaks of Christ death and sacrifice for the world (Is 53:11, Matt 26:28, Rom 5:15, 19). The abominations of desolation and consummation is what Christ and the prophets prophesied that'll happen (Matt 24:15, Is 10:22, 28:22). cont=>
@EWETUBER2.. Matt 24:15 is the demomstration of what the destroyer will do as it refers us to Daniel 9:27 for OT understanding and visa versa. But when we read Daniel 9:27 we have to read it in the Messiah Act. Messiah Act meaning => Christ authority to demonstration of power to send forth the desolations because of the overspreading of the abominations. cont=>
@TheBIBLEisright1 You mixing in "Christian sounding" terms here that aren't founded on actual scripture..The Bible is right..but you are off track with all that..Word to the wise..Stick with what scripture DOES say and not with what "whoever" told you that said..
@EWETUBER2.. Israel rejected Christ and it was prophesied that because of their disobediences and sin that another people from the North will sack Jerusalem and make it desolate (Jeremiah 4:6-7, Isaiah 1:7). So Daniel 9:27 speaks of Christ sacrifice and the desolation of Jerusalem that Christ will allow to happen as well as what the destroyer will do. Two fold scripture. Be Blessed
@EWETUBER2 There is only one who can CONFIRM the covenant... At the beginning of the chapter Daniel 9:4, tells us exactly what the covenant is. Not some new agreement with Anti-Christ but the covenant that Jesus said, This is my blood that is shed for many... (confirmed with many)
Malachi 3:2 calls Jesus the messenger of the covenant
@Tikal007 This is Anti Christ confirming the "covenant" that HE makes with the Jews that HE then breaks 3 1/2 yrs into it.. An Islamic HUDNAH.. Just because it is a covenant doesn't mean it speaks of Jesus being part of it..
@Tikal007 ...TIKA..Joshua 9:6 9:14,15..is where Joshua makes a "league" or COVENANT with the deceptive Gibeonites. This being a Covenant mentioned in scripture doesn't ALSO mean that God placed his stamp of approval on it. See verse 14..??
The same rule applies to Dan 9:27. That covenant is made between Anti Christ and the Jews and has nothing with Jesus at all.! They make a covenant with AntiChrist..not Jesus.!
Thank you Pastor Smith!! You blew the Friday crucifixion and Sunday resurrection out of the water. I just happen to stumble across this video but will have to check out your others. I just love it when I hear someone tell the truth from the Word of God.

LOL. Speeded up audio makes it sound like a comedic video. Sounds like Chris Rock. Awesome message though.

The abominations of desolation and consummation is what Christ and the prophets prophesied that'll happen (Matt 24:15, Is 10:22, 28:22). cont=>

@TheBIBLEisright1 Nope..that verse Dan 9:27 speaks of Anti-Christ..not two fold about Jesus at all. Re check your notes on that one..

Tikal007 1 year ago
@Tikal007 This is Anti Christ confirming the "covenant" that HE makes with the Jews that HE then breaks 3 1/2 yrs into it.. An Islamic HUDNAH.. Just because it is a covenant doesn't mean it speaks of Jesus being part of it..
EWETUBER2 1 year ago
@Tikal007 ...TIKA..Joshua 9:6 9:14,15..is where Joshua makes a "league" or COVENANT with the deceptive Gibeonites. This being a Covenant mentioned in scripture doesn't ALSO mean that God placed his stamp of approval on it. See verse 14..??
The same rule applies to Dan 9:27. That covenant is made between Anti Christ and the Jews and has nothing with Jesus at all.! They make a covenant with AntiChrist..not Jesus.!
