I completely agree. I am 17 now. When I was 11, & 12 especially....I was wearing low cut shirts (even though there wasnt much there haha) and I was putting up pictures on myspace that you know made me be proceived as something else. and putting on so much eyeliner (which i couldnt apply right) . And by 13, i was partying like an adult. summer before 11th grade i changed my life. i feel bc of my past i grew up way to fast. i graduate this yr, &i wish i could just go back to being a kid.

i completely agree with you, i'm 13 and when i was 11 and younger i didn't care about having a boyfriend or looking hot like that. all i cared about was my friends and family really and thats what you should care about at that age! they all just need to relax and be themselves cause one day when their older they will notice there was absolutely NO POINT in dressing like that and trying so hard to be something they aren't at that young age.

Everytime a little girl talks about having a boyfriend or dressing sexy or wearing makeup it hurts a very deep part of me. Children should be out enjoying their childhood. They should be playing with dolls, wearing age-appropriate dresses (like the American Girl dolls and such), and enjoying shows like The Road to Avonlea or the old Strawberry Shortcake cartoons. The new generation has brought a terrible curse to little girls and its gotten way too far. Somebody has to do something immediatly!

Well....hi, I'm in 6th grade and I'm 12. I get mistaken for a boy alot. I have very bad self-esteme and don't want to grow up. It gets under my skin when sluty girls who have to much make up getting attintion. I don't worry about my looks but it seems like everyone does. I think when those girls dress like that it effects the kids around them too.

i handed over 100 survys in my town to parents with daughters.

i found out that 13 year olds were allowed to wear make up.

and the age was to get a mobile was 10-12.

i was really upset that 12.8 per cent let their child sleep at the boyfriends house under sixteen years of age.

I definetly agree with you. I look back at my 5-8 grade years and I regret what i did. I never made any wrong decisions I just.. wish I would've shown myself different to people. I never had boyfriends.. so i felt if i acted more provacotive then maybe that would catch there attention. It didn't. I soon realized what i was doing. And i changed my whole appearance. And.. Now. My Dad wouldnt let me wear lipstick till I was 14 and than at 16 I could wear makeup, also when I was 10 or younger I had no desire to wear miniskirts or midriff tops so I see that its hard for girls now when your bombarded with these images daily but I deffinetly think at that age your unaware of what your about and the image you put out there and what men would be thinking of. I totally agree with you, although I'm not a girl aaand I'm long past my growth spurts :). One other thing though, not only has the female's maturing rate increased, but also the average women's height has increased over the years ... I once saw a prediction table that in 15-20 years or so, the male and female height averages will be more or less equal, whilst later the average male will be smaller than the average female :) Sounds like a cool future :D
