@NikeSkate19 well this fat fuck makes more money in a day than your ass will do in a lifetime...it's his video...he can do what he likes...if you can't appreciate then go blow yourself in the hole you come from...give the man some break..he's a nice soft spoken guy...imparting his culinary knowledge to the rest of us...!!!!
You are sooo awesome! I am a sixteen year old and i want to go to a culinary school. you are so helpful and make things easier to understand. you're my hero
Thanks chef Tomm, that was awesome. I'm making these on the weekend and have been searching for a good demonstration on how to fold them. So glad I found your video. Very clear and well filmed, I'm now quietly confident that my potstickers are going to rock! :)
I'm glad to hear the videos helped you. There are more shows and recipes on my website. If you get a chance maybe you can take some pics of you and the potstickers and upload them to my blog.
Yes, there is a Dim Sum house that makes great homemade Potstickers that I used to go to and they always used cast iron skillets. They would simply put some vegatable oil to coat the bottom of the skillet and then add water after the initial browning. They would add a little oil after the water disappaited and then brown the bottoms a second time. It's kind of an art in terms of timing, but they come out perfect when one has the timing perfected.
Hello Karen, Thanks for watching the show. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I have alot of shows on here and am adding more all the time. Thanks again for watching, please pass it on toyour friends.
wow chef tomm you really did a great job. it seemed easy for you but it was so hard for me. i was the one who made this in class today and i made the dough from scratch i didn't have any idea on how it's supposed to be like thank God it turned out well. i could have watched your video before doing it so that it would be easier but i just found this today :(
Hello, Thanks for watching my show. Either way is fine. I normally make alot and cook some and freeze the rest. The faster you freeze them the better. Thanks again fir wathing.
like Pierogi one could throw them back into oil once they are steamed to crisp the outside. Ya know its sad that Asian restaurant now a days buy there food from warehouse manufacturers. all th ey do is buy a bag and re-heat them. I would like to go to a restaurant and actually have hand made dumplings/pot stickers and pay an extra couple dollars. Very nice video, thanks for the tips.
I agree 100% that is a big part of why I am putting these shows up. Most people think these items are so difficult to make but with a little practice you can master them all. Thanks for watching my show!
great video, what kind of knifes do you use?

You might want to get out of the habit of referring to the food items as "these guys".

I was always taught to use a cast iron skillet instead of stainless steel and use vegatable oil.
For those interested, I have found Yank Sing to have a very good chili oil that can be found in grocery stores to be very flavorful.

Thanks for writing. I have never heard of a cast iron pot being used for this. The chili oil looks interesting. I will try to find it out here.
