A teachers job is to inspire a student to want to learn. Most teachers are not that great in their field, thats why they can't inspire, they only went on a teacher training course. I didn't realise the criteria for job application was the same as in uk.

My school has 800 people in it. Out of those 800, around 60% are asian. Basically all of them are smart, but more then half of them cheat. It's true, they just don't try sometimes. But to see them at top 10% of that certain class, after all of the cheating most of them do, it ticks me off.
Well, it all depends what after school activity/club you are in and what it accomplishes. The only after school thing I do is marching band, while other people play 3-4 sports. However, my marching band won Grand National Championship the past two years, as opposed to our other school sports which all suck...so, which looks more impressive? Failing at 3-4 sports or being National Champions at another...

sadly i must agree that when you earn your own money their is a feeling of accomplishment that comes with it that makes you happy BUT the thing is children that come from rich families tend to be more depressed than children that come from slightly poorer families. A lot of people say that that's because the parents try to fill the void with material goods rather than actual compassion.
