I'm sure all the opera buffs were in raptures over Villazon's technique.....before he promptly lost his voice. So please stop pontificating about technique.
Very good. Very talented young man. Better than Pavarotti? I don't think so. He sounds like a baritone. Pavarotti was a Leggiero tenor & had a higher range.
@mayfree78 It's a simple statement of fact. Opera isn't a style of singing or some song sung in Italian. It's a theatrical production with costumes, makeup, staging, props, etc. Mark has never sung in an opera in his life. Calling Mark an "opera sensation"is like calling someone who doesn't play baseball a "baseball sensation."
Your voice is out of this world and the fact that you’re so young is amazing. You’re a true inspiration. This is one of my favourite song thank you for doing it proper justice.
he's destroying his own voice. he's trying t make his voice sound deeper than it actually is. ALL singers that do that at an early age lose their voice pretty fast. he'll hopefully learn to stop it. not to mention he's singing an aria that proper tenor tenors wouldn't dare to even attempt until they're at least in their mid-20s. any1 who sings this b4 that is an idiot
I'll always love U, I am two years younger than U, but U are brilliant!!!!! U were 15, nd now I am 15 too, I'll always listen to Ur unbelievable songs!!
@aussiechickdiana NOT better than Pavarotti. Sorry. He is extremely talented, but keep in mind that this IS in a lower key than the original, so it doesn't require him to sing the high B4.
sorry but Carusso...who the fuck is Mccormick, Lanza?? and Pavaroti not Pavrotti...would be rolling in their craves covering their sacred ear drums from being pulverized with this mother fucker's voice. So don't say names when is evident you don't know nothing and when this kid sings as horrible as himself... Come on! for good sake he sucks big time.
God what a pleasure to listen to and his only a boy !!!!!!!!! what will he be when he is all grown up God Only Knows .... wow all the best Mark ... from a fellow shire neighbour .. rhonda x
@Kotlettbengt i don't mind a baritone singer nessun dorma two semi-tones lower than the original key, but everyone is comparing this young man to pavarotti and other famous tenors, which is totally weird! this guy is not a tenor! maybe he could become one, placido domingo started off as a baritone...
@kaylalovesjules ... dont be stupid, pav wud be the first to admit, he aint better than caruso, or gigli, or lanza, or stefano, or any of the other greats.
this young chap is not an opera sensation period!! He's able to sing-at the piece of music, but in a key lower than it's written. His voice is artificially forced to produce the sounds he makes, and this will end up destroying his instrument should he continue on this path without proper vocal guidance.
@unotenore I do believe in what u r saying if he doesnt change now he will lose out in the future. His completely changes to accommodate various pitches. He can sing but he needs proper training
@dollarjames ... he cant really sing that well and made a real pigs ear of nessum dorma... i cant believe he recorded it and put it on an album, its not good enough. Painful to listen to
@singerman2008 I agree ,but I think that he will improve as he gets older. They will teach him I'm sure how to properly use his voice who is a little too deep for a tenor, but with lessons he may become quiet good.
he's not a professional tenor at all, this song is very hard with highs notes, he's just simulating his voice, but he doesnt has a great voice!...not as powerful as this song is
I dont think this should work should be sung by someone that cant sing it in the original key. Instead of trying to please the general, ignorant public with just high notes, he should try for proper baritone material, not lower famous tenor arias.
Very pretty voice. His voice is still developing and I am not sure he is going to end up a tenor. He sounds more like a budding baritone to me. It's really dangerous to sing when you don't know yet what type of voice you are going to be. In any case he is singing this aria one step down.
of curse hes not going to end up as a tenor, first he has to educate his voice completely, this opera is as hard as you can't imagine, nor paul potts can do this...
All those that have something to say bad about this young man, I'm sure can't sing anyway. He's wonderful and will go along way I'm sure. If you can't say good things about his man don't comment.
Jealousy is a terrible problem for some of the idiots leaving such garbage comments! Watch this space for Mark when he leaves school and gets his career launched properly!
will look forward to a world talent-WOW! mark voice sounds better than paul potts to me, but i am not a musician and can't sing a lick, i know he is only 15, but good grief imagine him in another 10-15 years
he needs to sing reptoire suited for his age not repetoire he should be singing in 5-10 years. Get some lessons and get rid of the tongue tension and depressed soft palate and learn to control your airflow. Oh and please everyone stop comparing him to the Great Pav there is no comparison, Pav would not of been stupid enough to sing Nessun Dorma at that age.

i completely agree with you. unfortunately, people like you and me who know better are always going to get sbuase when we tell ppl the truth about singers like this. Lowering the larynx to make you sound older makes you sound incredibly fake and it's incredibly damaging. I don't know why he does it and i certainly dont know why people find it attractive.
He'd have been a real loser on AGT if he'd sung some of the garbage we hear from others his age! Pav is the greatest, I agree, but this is a 15 year-old boy - give us a break!
I don't know why people are comparing all these great singers to each other. Pavarotti is Pavarotti, Paul Potts is Paul Potts and Mark Vincent is Mark Vincent. They're all in, or were in different stages of their lives and singing experience. We ought to be encouraging them instead of being critical. In time they will be the masters that the next group will look up to. To Paul, Mark and all who are entering in to your singing careers, welcome and thank you for sharing your God given talent.
it's good no where near a pavarotti rival. but no one is. but who is to say that he won't be another great. only thing I would suggest is attempting to get your tone out of the back of your throat I had the same problem. it's very common in young singers. but if you work it up your voice will cut even more than now. which will make you a monster. you're very talented.

Paul Potts is older, has more formal opera exposure than Mark--but so what. Pott's vocal talent is as a babe in the woods compared to Vincent. Sorry if I sound cruel because I like Potts, yet Mark's voice is forever out of Pott's league.
He turns 16 next month. While I don't think we should be comparing a 15-year-old to Pavarotti, there's one fact we can all agree on: This is the sort of voice that comes along only a few times in a century. Mark Vincent will be known worldwide before he's even legally of age. Thank you, Simon Cowell, for letting us get to know this great talent so early!
Did simon discover mark PianoLady517??? no offence but this is the first time ive heard that??? im not to sure so dont quote me, but i was under the impression that Australia's got talent never involved simon?...please correct me if im wrong, ta

He is 15.
Just started.
How many of the great tenors could have done this at the age of 15 with just some singing in the shower training?
It really pisses me off to see people like you bashing a great talent like this.
For the more obvious part. Ofcourse he needs training and i do believe someone would kill to train this kid.
