Nice machine you have there!!! Are you testing for contact resistance or just continuity? Do the red and green pipes have vacuum or you just push the switches with the pushers underneath the table and they fall by gravity?

@GerardoLeonCR Im testing for continuity. These pipes dont have any kind of vacuum. The pneumatic cylinder just push the switches and then  they fall by gravity.

@webdep51 Yes, its possible but I will not do that. To replace her I will need a very complex robotic vision system and a robot that will cost more than 100.000 dollars. Not worth it.

$500 is not a good wage in Canada. A single person can not live on that here. A family definitely can't live on it here.

Yes Boingo, you`re correct. This machine tests microswitches.

US$500 its an average wage in Brazil, the minimum wage here is US$280 (60% of the brazilian workers earn the minimum wage)

That is amazing, well not in the good way,

minimum wage here for a highschool student is US$9/hour, which if u turn it into a full time it would be 1803.75/a month , and that is just working at a local timhorton or McDonald !

Brazil is the 9th major economy in the World, you will be surprised if I tell you that in some countries the wages are fewer than US$150 per YEAR. IF you are curious, search the Income per head of the country called BURUNDI in Africa. I think its US$114/year.

We are hiring. We pay US$500 /month . Maybe its not a good wage in Canada but here the person who does this is able to support an entire family.

That machine is cool. So I'm guessing that is tests the quality of the micro switches that you are putting on the turntable??

Yes but this machine has another fuction too, it closes the product while its testing...

Yeah, maybe we can use less cylinders but i have to build a much more complex mechanics. I think its cheaper to use a stepper and more cylinders

The machine closes and verifies the quality of the product. If it is ok, the machine puts the product in the green pipe, if its not ok, the machine puts the product in the red pipe.

Believe or not, they prefer to do it this way rather than the older way, because the machine does the hard job (test and evaluate if is it aprooved or not), the employee needs only to put the parts on the machine.

The fuction of this machine is to test and close the product (switches), if something goes wrong, the switch has to exit in the red pipe, otherwise, it will exit in green one. I put this video online to explain the benefits of using Stepper motors with precise transmisstion (girard screw gear transmition) to my friends here in Brazil
