10's are single chambers. They have nothing to muffle them but 3 little triangle shaped baffles inside. 44's are 2 chamber. They have the 3 triangles plus a whole bunch more walls/baffles. The reason why the 2 chambers are a lot quieter and a lot more restrictive.

@WashingtonXJ flowmaster numbers are pretty basic. the lower the number, the louder they are. 10 series are about the length of a beer can. 40 series are normal size and 2 chambers, 50 series and above are larger and 3 chambers, 70 series are garbage cans
