This is one of Marc Bolan's most magical songs. Listen to those lyrics, and that guitar right at the end, around 2:08. That was a short, soft and fantastic guitar solo.

As for the sounds of the vinyl, of course that sounds exactly as I heard it. I eventually had a traveling copy and a stay at home copy. That is how that worked.
