I live in the U.S and I cannot believe that for only 45 minutes minor sugery at a U.S surgery center would cost you like $20,000 plus $6000 doctor fee. In other countries like India that sugery would cost no more than $500.
Having lived in other parts of the World I find that U.S health care system the worst in the World with greedy doctors and insurance companies out to grab your money. I have found that U.S health care is VERY VERY EXPENSIVE AND THE MOST EXPENSIVE IN THE WORLD !!

Medical Tourism has its pros and cons. If you're talking about cheaper, you're going to save alot if you travel to india for medical treatment rather than be treated locally like in the US. However you can never be completely sure of what the outcomes will be in the medical procedures. This poses some particular problems that if something was to go wrong there won't be legal practices that allow you to sue. To sue is particularly difficult. An over reliance on this travel takes away the local...
