Personally a better combo for me is Muay Thai and Wrestling because a Muay Thai fighter who is hard to take down is more dangerous than one on his back with a guard. For Brazilian rivalries it's more traditional BJJ schools vs the Muay Thai/BJJ combo schools. The Muay Thai gyms in Brazil also train BJJ. But there are BJJ gyms still pushing BJJ only doctrine.

Of course would be great if all Brazilian fighters would knew it, but what botters me is that the americans think that is an obligation for everybody do know their language, damn we talk portuguese down here, most of the ppl actually doesn't need to know it.

One more thing, the main Brazilian fighters came from poor areas or even favelas (slum) and sometimes don't know even the proper portuguese, which is a much complex language than english.

@ekultus yeah that's true. a lot of people don't know how to use a heavy bag, it's not made to practice technique, it's made for conditioning, strength and building solidness in your punches. a lot of people hit the bag real light, your supposed to hit the bag with as much power as you can and the faster the pace, the better because you get in better condition. but you should use technique to. i dunno, he's just a tomato can.
