Stalin did NOT promote Marx's take on communism. He may have claimed that, but that does not make it so. It is in fact said, that Lenin (who actually did follow Marxist views to a great extent) didn't want Stalin to run the country after him. He wanted Trotsky. But Stalin had Trotsky exiled and killed, being the evil totalitarian he was.

That was Lenins idea and the term Marxist-Leninist was actually coined by the communist party of the soviet union in order to draw its legitimacy from the works of Marx. But mainly because you are not seeing the big picture, which is that we are passed peak oil/energy, this doesn't mean just that lots of people will have to find alternative transport or walk, but that 9 out of every 10 calories you consume each day are 100% dependent of fossil fuels. If you can get by on an average of about 200 calories a day

@GrowTheTruth I'm sorry, but that is simply not true. I have read Marx's Communist manifesto and The Capital and also works of Engels, Marx's closest confidant. Stalin did NOT promote Marx's take on communism. He may have claimed that, but that does not make it so. It is in fact said, that Lenin (who actually did follow Marxist views to a great extent) didn't want Stalin to run the country after him. He wanted Trotsky. But Stalin had Trotsky exiled and killed, being the evil totalitarian he was.

You may be knowledgeable about Marxism & its true that Stalin definitely used a corrupted version of Marxist and Communist beliefs, but they were Marxist-Leninist beliefs none-the-less. The Leninist beliefs are, in themselves, a form of political theory that supports political totalitarianism by a one-party system which speaks for the people.
Perhaps you could do a bit more research into it. Go Google "Stalin Marxism" even.

That was Lenins idea and the term Marxist-Leninist was actually coined by the communist party of the soviet union in order to draw its legitimacy from the works of Marx. Marx was probably rolling in his grave at that point. I agree that Lenins views were totalitarian. I found it repugnant that you used Marx's name in combination with his. My mistake, I googled it up
