  • Most people I know now who are directing are more interested in they're software and cameras than learning true storytelling.... It's sad.

  • he puts this so well.

  • lol at the cameraguy sniggering at 2 minutes

  • not that it matters at all but .. is he wearing tights ?

anyway, I agree with everything he said :-) Rio Bravo is a true gem!

  • @girl43- I don't think he's wearing tights, I think his legs are just shadowed due to the lighting....and of course it matters! jk :-P

  • I saw that movie last night and I can see why Tarantino and other directors love it so much it is one of the greatest character driven films of all time.

  • Taratino's a bright man.

  • Rio Bravo! What an awesome film!

  • when is he going to make a movie without violence or not based on violence...what about a love story???...just a thought

  • True Romance is a love story

  • True Romance. Natural Born Killers.

    You lose

  • @IWantDaveKast he had nothing to do with natural born killers aside from the story

  • @MsHellow Who cares if a movie is violent or not?

  • Rio Bravo really is a great movie. Everybody should go out and see it now.

  • thanks...

  • I love 'hangout'-movies =DD (Big Lebowski, Fear And Loathing in Las Vegas, Basquiat...)

  • Dazed and Confused.

  • Quentin is a legend

  • Greatest screenwriter/director... period!! Sorry Martin Scorsese.

  • dont b mental. he is good, but alot of his ideas are rehashed from the movies he loves, or based on. even quentin himself wud have a chuckle at your comment.

  • yeah fabfab i was there too!

  • qts a great guy

  • Totally, I cannot count how many times i've watched this movie.

It's a good feeling-sick or 'hangout' movie, nice characters and good go-get-um plot; the kind of thing you'd watch with your dad when you were young.

And yes I did inflict this movie on my girlfriend and she did like it.

  • If only QT's films were as good as Rio Bravo (Or any of Hawks films for that matter) Then I would care for what he has to say. Listen to the commentary by John Carpenter and Richard Shickel on the Special Edition DVD for an awesome view on the film. He's completely right about a "hang out" type of film though.

  • Rio Bravo is great. Best thing Hawks did and better than anything QT has or will ever make.

  • Rio Bravo IS awesome, but you don't gotta be a prick concerning QT about it.

  • Rio Bravo is an incredible movie. QT is hot.

  • you just a chick whose attracted to power. aha

  • remember when henry kissinger said "power is the greatest aphrodisiac?"

  • I think all of QT's movies are "hangout movies".

  • mmmm thats MY man

quentin is teh hottest thing since fire

  • it is. rio bravo. saw it today for the first time. very cool.

  • I'd have to say Pulp Fiction is definatly a ''hangout movie''.

  • I loved his comments on the girlfriends! :) I heard that he also makes them sit on the 3rd row of the theater while he screens Rio Bravo :)
