This is a really low moment for her and her campaign. There is a coldness that has allowed her campaign to stoop to using racism, and to misrepresent and mislead in a few egregious instances... now this. Her clarification doesn't at all soften the harshness of the realization one has that she doesn't get the implication of her earlier remarks. I will fervently support the Democratic nominee, but I do hope it is Obama.
1. Hillary believes in a mandate that all Americans be covered by healthcare, Obama does not.
2. Hillary believes in greater diplomacy and unting with other nations, but not without preconditions being met FIST. Obama's own website claimed he was the ONLY one who would meet leaders without preconditions.
3. Hillary has a centrist/more moderate ideology than Obama, thus her world views are more in line with blue collar/middle class/traditional Americans. Obama has a far left ideology.
4. Obama and Michelle, in camapaign speeches, talk about issues that so closely resemble socialism, it scares the crud out of me. Michelle + Obama talk about spreading the wealth and say that we ARE our brother's keeper, which is a socialist's view. His voting record proves he is far left of Hillary. Hillary's ideas and views on issues are left of center.
5. Hillary voted for the Born Alive Act, Obama, in the Illinois senate, rejected an equal bill 4 times.
People also vote on values and cultural issues and who they think will be the most loyal to their values and our nation. Many Hillary supporters do not TRUST that Obama will remain loyal to American values/culture/traditions. Some are afraid he cares more about holding the hands of the world, who don't have America's best interests at heart. They believe McCain and Hillary are the opposite and will protect this country. You don't have to agree, but Obama and Hillary are NOT the same.

There's PBS special on their site about the run up to the war you should watch it. It puts things in perspective. Btw glad we can have this dialogue without folks getting emotional. Some Clinton supporters don't even want to look at facts.

Well he grew up in a different generation than me. I just turned 30 in November. I grew up in Hawaii during a different time period and was considered local because I have Hawaiian in me... so I don't know what he experience is his generation. I do know that he must of been confused of his own heritage as I was. I don't know my Hawaiian side my dad left me kind of like how his dad left him but your always curious about the side you never knew...

lanidarwin, I think I can understand him being confused or wanting to "find himself", but in his books, he rejects his whiteness and now when he's on the stump, he touts his white side. So, for me, I feel it's very hard to figure out, "Who is this guy, what does he stand for. What does he really believe. What are his core values". I feel for him, with his difficult past, but he seems easily swayed by not having stability in his early years. And that worries me as a leader who could be maleable.

The Clintons have a penchant for claiming that they are victims of problems of their own making. At first blush it is not at all clear what Hillary Clinton was trying to say when she said that she should stay in the election because Robert F. Kennedy was assassinated in June. This is a really low moment for her and her campaign. There is a coldness that has allowed her campaign to stoop to using racism, and to misrepresent and mislead in a few egregious instances... now this. Her clarification doesn't at all soften the harshness of the realization one has that she doesn't get the implication of her earlier remarks.
