This guitar is AMAZING! I got it for christmas through Nevada music and im blown away. It looks like an expensive guitar and its a dream to play. It sounds just as good as my friends taylor 510ce
Hi! Im starter and i was wondering that should i buy this or the yamaha fg700s? Becouse i like this size and all but i play moystly strumming style light rock so i dont know if this is good for that, thaks! Ps. sorry for my bad english..:)
I want to learn to play guitar but i dont know which one i should get/ is the best investment. between the fs720s and the fg700s, which is better? and what are the differences besides the body size? thanks =)
Hey I want to buy me a new guitar in 3 months ( eighteenth birthday) and I need your help. What is better? The "Yamaha FS 720S" or "Yamaha FGX-720SC". I know the FGX- 720SC is more expensive but what do you think? ( A small for and against list for both guitar would be awesome),
Thanks for help=).
PS: You play realy good guitar, I like the sounds. Are the "songs" from you?
Very useful demo - good balance of description and sound sample.
I've had several Yamahas in my life and still have my faithful FG401 which may not be a high-end instrument but it has never ever let me down and has an action that matches anything I've ever played.
The FS720S has shown up on my radar whilst looking for an affordable 000 size acoustic - so thanks for this demo.
great review :) i wanna get this guitar sometime and btw it may just be me but you kinda remind me of a younger and skinnier version of zack galifinakis haha
That is simply personal preference. The decision to go with a dreadnought body or concert body is totally up to the player. Please feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns.
Thanks for your interest. The FG720S has the same size body as the FG700S, a standard dreadnought. The FS720S is a concert body acoustic, which is a little smaller than a dreadnought. Please feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns.
The FS720S comes pre-strung with some coated light gauge acoustic strings. Glad you enjoyed the video. Please feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns.
can i manhandle this guitar ? i need a guitar i can play and chuck away in a corner standing by itself without any stands. sometimes i just throw it on the bed and let it stay there. will this suit?
@84xennion Yamaha guitars are tough instruments but an applause or ovation probably can stand more abuse---I like Yamaha guitars better and I hate the rounded backs on the Ovation and Applause guitars---flat backed guitars like Yamaha acoustics are comfy and have a well-balanced sound if you choose the solid topped models---some of the laminated topped models aren't so good sounding--but some can be---I'd get the solid topped tpe so the sound will be more mellow and full---
Are you playing this Guitar close to a mic to enhance its sound? This is important to me because if it sounds like that unamplified I need one! Thanks.
Due to the nature of sound and microphones, the closer you place a mic to a sound source the more bass frequencies you will pickup. This is known as proximity effect. The FS720S sounds great in person, as well as for recording. Thanks!
That's correct. Nato is also known as Eastern Mahogany. This is a great instrument and it's available in quite a few colors. Please feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns.
These two instruments are very similar in sound. The FS720S is a smaller concert body guitar and the FG720S is a full dreadnought size instrument. Please feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns.
I have the cobalt aqua model. I have 3 guitars now and I keep going back to it. I just prefer the sound of the FS720S. It's got a darker, richer tone than the Big Baby Taylor I have, which is also a great guitar - but it's too bright and breezy for the moods I want to capture with my music.
Thanks for watching. The FG730S is going to have a little fuller sound because of the rosewood back/sides and the full size body (as opposed to the FS parlor style). Please feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns.

@84xennion Yamaha guitars are tough and can stand a little abuse--standing in corner ain't too much abuse for most of them--ha!

Have this guitar... really a great bargain. What size case fits it?
LaraSixtyEight 1 year ago
Any standard dreadnought case would be a good fit. We have a Yamaha GA01 case for $59.99 that would work well.
Please feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns.

Hello KraftMusic!
I just wanted to thank you for this video. I have been interested in buying this guitar, but haven't tried it out in a while.
Thank you for giving a video with high quality audio to listen to!
Next time, give an example with fingerpicking too :)

Hi Kraftmusic: how do you compare the sound of 720s with 730s?
onzkicg 2 years ago
Thanks for watching. The FG730S is going to have a little fuller sound because of the rosewood back/sides and the full size body (as opposed to the FS parlor style). Please feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns.
