  • On first contact I prefer this to the first concerto..Fascinating work..Full of unexpected twists and turns..Sonically very beautiful..Thanks for posting this..

  • I believe this has only been performed once, at the premiere, which was with Robert Taub on piano, the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, James Levine conducting, in Carnegie Hall.

  • Well, I would like to have Yuja Wang take this up, and with whomever, take to Oklahoma, and play it at the Oral Roberts University. It would really send these people, has the horsepower for that.

  • I think this may be the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, but yes, it could be the BSO. Either way, it is great to have it out here for careful listening. The sound quality is good for a bootleg or indeed any leg at all.

  • wow! I've owned the score for some time but it's nice to finally hear it properly.

    there's a monumental feel to the piece and sense that it could all fall to pieces at any moment. Let's hope it gets played more often.
