  • I have this for the pc(yoursef fitness). It doesnt have as many body measurement options but most stuff is very similar to yours. There is no 75 minute option on workout length in mine. I got upto 100 workouts on it a few years ago . You get more music and scenario options as you go up in 10's. I do my workouts in my bedroom sometimes with only a 7 by 4 foot space but it is doable just. Great review and fun too.

  • Great review ^_^ I really appreciate it!

  • My fitness coach is really good, I'm actually going to workout now,(lost 30 pounds) but the sequel isn't as good as this one, though i like the exercises. This one's commitment system appeals to me.

  • It has a meal plan.. you can choose your calorie allowance for the day and it gives you a meal plan with recipes. It's great. I don't know much about this Wii game, but if you have an xbox 360, it's easy to get an update to play the xbox game on your 360!

  • hi, i heard this is the European version of Gold's Gym cardio workout... does this include the Gold's Gym style boxing workouts? i can't find the info anywhere...

  • I just wanted to say THANK YOU for making this video. I want to lose weight and I am buying a Wii this weekend. I have been checking out ALL of the fitness games for the wii and reading reviews because i dont want to waste money and your review was by far the best. Thank you for showing a portion of the game and for being completely honest about the pros and cons.

  • I forgot to mention that you can adjust the sound settings so that you don't have to hear their music ( which is predictably terrible) but you can still hear Maya's voice. I have been very averse to exercise my whole life and like you this is the most fun I have ever had exercising. To increase the intensity of the exercises ( as Maja would say) I have started using wrist weights - first 1 lb and now 2.5 lbs and I'm really beginning to get in shape and have lots more energy. Fantastic.

  • Great video - i really love this game too! I think though that the 'how are you feeling today 'questions don't affect the exercise difficulty, rather how much encourgagement Maya gives you thoughout the game. I read this in the notes that came with it. I find the encourgagement really helpful. I don't listen to the music on the game but play music of the right tempo on my itunes which I find much more motiviating / energising- Michael Jackson works particularly well.

  • but nothing is perfect: I really miss the website... It would be nice if Ubisoft develop a website for Maya...

  • Hi!... Sorry for my english!

I would like to give you my opinion about this "game": It's amazing! It's so different to fitness video, 'cause It's changing the workout everyday... New exercises, new combinations, etc. You'll never be bored. I hate gym and everything related with workout, but I needed to lose weight and I found this... I love It. I didn't do a workout routine for more than 3 days, I just hated... but, with Maya It's a challange: What we gonna do today?...

  • so for my gf, would you reccommend my fitness coach or wii active?

we use wii fit all the time but want some new challenges!

  • Can't really say. Haven't played any other exercise games besides this one.

  • So would this be recommended for men too? I'm a little skeptical because of the difference in physical structure between men and women. Is it catered to gender when setting up a profile?

  • The theme throughout the game is to use common sense and not do anything that could injure you. I didn't see any catering to the differences between men and women except with things involving weight and whatnot, but I assure you that if the game had an easter egg where Maya suddenly started doing full splits, I wouldn't try to exactly replicate the movement lol. :-P

  • Great Review! I really got an idea what the game was like, and how to use it. Seems like a really good deal.

I have a wii fit, and this seems like a great enhancement in many ways. Plus the variety seems refreshing and challenging.

    Great Review!

  • i'd reccomend this, i've lost 2 stone (28 pounds) using this since april :)

  • I got the Wii Fit and I recomend it if you have children because my daughters and nieces and nephews well my whole entire family love it. I especially like the muscle toning because it has a presure measureing bar that tells you if your doing it acuratelly. I've been faithfully on the Wii Fit for a week and I've lost 4 lbs. and I feel more energized. My routine starts with Yoga then Arobics followed by Strenght Training and finishing off with the Balance Games to cool off. It works on carpet

  • I still haven't gotten Wii Fit yet, sadly enough. :-)

  • Thanks for the review, it really helped me to decide if I should buy this or the Wii Fit, and it seems that this has a few more options and workouts then the WIi Fit, great review, and very helpful. If you do get the sequel, could you review that as well, whenever it comes out?

  • Hopefully it's still in development. ResponDesign has been in and out of lawsuits for a few years now, and their last update was in 2007.

  • So happy to see this review and to see Maya still helping people get fit. I have a friend that's been using Yourself Fitness for the PS2 for years and loves it to death. I really hope a sequel IS being made. Thanks for posting this.

  • There was a lawsuit over some of the issues between Ubisoft and ResponDesign, some of which involved this Wii port. I don't know if the sequel was affected by it though.

  • i got this yesterday,i was going to get wii fit but its realy hard to find ,plus almost 4 times more expensive than my fitness coach, ive got a few work out dvds but like you said, you need to be super fit to even keep up with them ,plus when you reach the level of fitness needed to do the dvd it does not challenge you anymore, hopefully this will continue to punish me ,even when i get in good shape !

  • Thanks for posting, saw this "game" at walmart, and thought I might be able to come across something on youtube! Thank you! I cant wait till I go and buy it...now I dont have to travel to the darn gym and pay every month for something I aint going to use lol

  • Great job on reviewing this game/fitness software. I agree. This is the best fitness video/game/etc. that I've ever come across. The fact that the workouts aren't always the same and you can track your progress really make you want to continue using it and aren't bored to tears (which was the case with the Wii Fit. The workouts there are always the same.)

Anyways, I too strongly recommend this for everyone! :)

  • I don't have a wii, so if I were to get this software, it would be the Yourself Fitness. I did see this in a store shelf years ago, but it was just too expensive for me at that time. Now, Yourself Fitness is pretty much near impossible to find, and Amazon sells it for $50. I did find another game by Nike called EyeToy Kinetic for ps2, and Amazon has it for $35, I might eventually check that out and see if it's any good.

  • I actually got a good laugh when I saw that. The PS2 version is actually more expensive than Ubisoft's Wii port. I don't know if ResponDesign might be in financial trouble or not with the Yourself Fitness site being non-functional and the GetMaya site being broken, but if their sales are low, that might have something to do with it. =)

  • That might be the case. Also, I noticed that EyeToy Kinetic WITH the EyeToy is $35 on Amazon, yet the version WITHOUT the EyeToy is $50
