Stop SOPA: Sons of Youtube! Of 9gag! My brothers. I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the freedom of speech is no more, when we make the internet useless and break all bonds of troll-hood, but it is not this day. An hour of silence and shattered keyboards when the Age of Freedom comes crashing down, but it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good web, I bid you stand, Men of the Internet!
4:20 - Stargate?? XD F*ck the disputations around religions.... This song is just beautiful offset made by people who grew up in with the music based on european traditions... And yes, christian churches have their piece in these traditions... Nothing less, nothing more...
@Neo587 - Patently untrue. Look to northern europe for societies that were largely untouched by vile filthy christianity until very very recently, and to this day consists of close to 90% unbelievers.
@facepalmization : Try and Google for Bonifatius Dokkum. He was a holy men murdered by Frisians, my ancestors long ago, when he tried to convince our former people to Christianity. Interesting story here in the Northern parts of Holland.
@Menorius - And also check out the story about Olaf The Holy in Norway. A christian who traveled from community to community slaughtering anyone not willing to convert to christianity. With his crusade he wiped out entire townships in Norway.

The church "can't have this" because it has always been about religious, political control rather than spiritual enlightenment, which is what flows through this song. God has blessed my ears too at last. Let's forget linguistic "errors" and interpretations that always divide us and just immerse ourselves in this beautiful experience.
Why can't church have this? I love God, but If I could make a church that sang this glory every Sunday...wow...God has blessed my ears by loving this music already.
@LifeofLucidity god is an ass.. i don't know why people "love" something that shares the characteristics of your polar opposite called satan. what does satan do?? i never hear anyone blowing themselves up for satan.. maybe satan is god and your god is satan. ultimate deceiver anyone??
or maybe Just maybe.. you shouldn't believe something desert nomads wrote down. if you love something that tortures people for it's own problems and uses loopholes for everything then go for it...
I rather like music that doesn't have a specific meaning. I get to assign my own. I always imagine something that's epic to me at the time depending on my mood. So do the rest of you. One size fits all "epicness".
@JelyIsCool This and many other songs are Pseodolatin. Some words are created or changed to make it sound good. People, stop hating Pseodolatin songs!
the lyrics of this song are complete bull. The latin makes no sense. The songwriter has made up words that dont exist (like mistraes in "mistraes lingua"). Also genders are all mixed up. It doesn't detract from the awesomeness of the tune, but its a shame that the lyricist couldnt do the tune justice :(
@JelyIsCool : Maybe words that don't excist, but a language develops as well. How many words in English, or Dutch in my case, didn't excist about 30 years ago. Even in the pre Latin ages thousands of years ago there where words that didn't excist in that language, yet.
Calling words your aiming on bull is kind of disrespectfull. Words are the most powerfull weapons in the world if you come to think of it at least. ;-)
@JelyIsCool It is the sound and the beauty of the music that attracts us. The vocals may just be there as another instrument, with no precise words. Just another piece of the awesomeness on stage.
The warrior rode as far he could come from the destruction and death behind him. The shame of fleeing from his dying brothers was cursing his mind, and as the sun was about to sink under the sea of grass, he stopped his horse and looked back. A land of fire and ashes. All of the villages had been demolished to merely a rubble of destruction.
His army was slain, and their rotting corpses was now lying on the battlefield. He took a deep breath, and continued his pursuit for freedom.
This song is beautiful in album and live. Does it really matter which one sounds better? What should matter is the beauty of this song, and so what if the singer's voice breaks up every now and then? She sang high notes in almost every song, and its REAL singing, not that lip-sync crap most people tend to do now.
Let's just enjoy the amazing power this song has(:
well... as much as i love this music, thats a grossly unfair comparison. It takes alot of talent and guts to do what Beyonce does: she is a master of several crafts: dancing and singing, and a creative force behind both, not just a follower. but yes, more people should listen to Globus ; )
I like the song, I dont like the singers. Why you will ask !? I learn latin and I can say that it must be singed by a spanish or italian opera singer ! And again, the song is GREAT !
@Digitalbumpin Dude.. it's live. Of course it sounds different. Why don't you stop having such a narrow mind all the time. And besides, all of the instruments and voices on the soundtrack are polished up.
It's not narrow-minded to acknowledge when something is not sung well. She performs well in the soundtrack version, but she doesn't here. That's probably because of the stress of performing in front of an audience, but regardless of why, her voice is shaky and timid here.
Moreover, nothing said implies that he/she wanted it to be the same. Where you got that idea I'll never know. You should stop being so rabid in your defense of this group. They're good, but this wasn't their day.
