  • you rock, whop criticizes you is just small-dicked and envious

  • please for the love of bobby d play it again! this rendition is phenomenal and if you say youve gotten better since then i would love to see how you play it now! please upload another!!

  • Im sorry but i don't much like this version in comparison to some more expressive other covers, still good though

  • tabs please?

    this sounds extra awesome

  • Ok I have to post this because it was said that this is the best version on youtube. This is very good and I like it but no way is it better than Fretkillr. Those of you who know Fretkillr know this although maybe no one on this line does. Look him up even though he has been taken off you tube. Some of his songs including this one have been reposted.

  • c'mon... i have a good one...

  • love the pickin'!

  • This is ridiculous! In a very very good way

  • wow, this is really great! niice job!! :-))

  • Much kudos, dude.

  • That was absolutely fantastic.

  • good version!, do you have any tabs?

  • He does just fine! Stop being so critical.

  • Great cover. Good job man.

  • awesome x2

  • Top Job!!!

  • @JuanCadena117 Dude it is an E Harp.

  • lose the harp

  • @bushbarnes. When you master this complicated guitar picking masterpiece while singing the song note perfect and for good measure add another instrument for fun, plus clock up more that 81,000 viewer hits after posting it on YouTube, then maybe, just maybe, you may have earned the hubris to blurt out an asinine comment like "lose the harp". For now measure you comments more.

  • OK! I apologize. I can pick and sing this song quite well but I agree with you that my comment was asinine. My revised comment."GREAT JOB"

  • Good stuff man! Do you know where I can find a decent tab of this song?

  • This is awesome excellent version

  • Please make a vidéo lesson of this song. You play it like no one...

  • Very nicely done.*****

  • thanks loved it

  • well done mate ,,you did great ,just started learning it myself ....respect

  • One of the best "Don't Think Twice It's All Right" covers on YouTube.

  • u got it

  • Is that so?

  • I don't know what your point is? This is the best version bar none on YouTube. Surely anyone with a note in their head, can see that. I should know I've looked at every version. I have watched this one so often trying to master it that I am having nightmares with Onafan's knees chasing me through a field of 6 foot corn and I keep falling down.

  • :) I can play it better now however. This was almost 3 years ago! I should put up something new....

  • Oh Man Bring it On, onafan. I've subscribed so looking forward to updated vid if you get the precious time to do it...

  • @thelonio there's something a lot of music has, and it's called feeling. this guy has it.

  • @thelonio Ok, guy, let's see your version, since you're the expert.

  • LOL......Cheers Aidan that really cheered me up... :0.......... so in Pete Seeger's terms I'm still in the feckin womb...oh well back to my other great opus in perpetual progress Girl from the North Country

  • When I'm feeling blue about my guitar efforts, I always come back to Onafan's brilliant version of DTT IA to push me into the abyss of failure. Having tried to play this song for months and failed miserably I am going to rename it Dont hit the Strings Twice You're Shite. HO Hum :)

  • you are a fucking amazing guitar player dude

  • where do u get the tab for the harp fill?

  • FINALLYYY SOMEONE THAT PLAYS IT THE RIGHT WAY!!!!!... did you used tabs to learn that???

  • yeah this is amazing i am so impressed. can anyone tell me what key that harp is?

  • Most likely E, 'cause that's the key hes singing the song in

  • The song is in E, like Dylan played it on the album, so I'm guessing he's using an A harp (but not sure). Hard song to learn. This guy is very good. Coldironbound has a good tutorial, as well, for those who want to try to tackle this beautiful tune.

  • A harp for a song in E? Am I missing something here? :S

  • Comment removed

  • Harrylook probably assumed that the OP was cross-harping (a technique used to play the minor pentatonic scale on the blues harp).

The song is played in straight harp though, not in cross-harp. So it's an E harmonica.

  • Putting a capo on fret 4 puts the song in the key of E and your right to be confused with A harp thing because it would be played with an E harp. Unless you are some sort of inverted blowfish that can suck when you''re supposed to blow, then you could actually play it with an A harp. :D

  • holy balls man... i'm just barely learning this one... you're genius for this. i salute you

  • nice

  • wooww send me the tabs please 8)

  • thank man, thanks!!!!

  • I'm feeling this skill, good voice, great at finger-picking, vintage sound, and great video

  • Well done mate - as close to Bruce Langhorne's original classic pickin' as we're likely to get here on Youtube.

  • wherd u get ur tabs at?

  • Oh yea did I mention this song was the Bees Knees? I genuflect respectfully before your guitar prowess. There.

  • I'm in the ditch, flies buzzing around your knees and this is best cover of DTTTA on Utube. This is the whole package, complex excellent picking true to original, good harp and a real poignant pathos in your voice. My only critisism of this video is the "in your face" knees. Ah well. You cant please all of the people all of the time, I think Ab Lincoln said that...........

  • Great version with the harp.

  • its amazing singing harmonic and guitar at the same time really cool

  • nice playing!

  • Finally :) Someone whom plays it correctly. Good to see, very nice job as well. I'm learning this song right now and I'm glad to have found someone who was true to the original version :)

  • hey man, great version...I looked up the chords last night and learned the finger picking pattern quite easily...but I couldnt play the melody and embelishments like you did! any suggestions or tabs for that?

  • This version is my favourite of all the attempts here at youtube. It's true to the orgininal both with the picking and singing.

It sounds very nice. I wish we could see your face though :)

I posted my version as a response, incase anyone want to see yet another version ^^

  • do you have a tab for how you're playing this? i love it

  • bob dylan cant even fingerpick it and sing it good yob senor

  • Do you have any tabs?

Could you possibly make a lesson video?

  • you have tabs for this?

  • that's relly good!

  • is this bob? amasing.

  • the only video on youtube where it actually sounds like the bob dylan song

  • hell yeah man... awesome job...5 stars

  • Great playing! Could you upload another video and teach us (beginners ) how to play this song the way you do it?

  • best sounding version Ive heard. guitar playing is flawless i wish i could play this song with finger picking

  • you are a brilliant player, ive just started to blend the haromonica with the guitar and was inspired by this video, but it isnt as easy as it looks is it lol? great playing :D

  • amazing, thats crazy, i can play things like dust in the wind, but once i saw this... whew you're good

  • Awesome version of this song man. Best I've heard yet...

  • this guy is playing it as close the original recording that I've heard on youtube and he can sing better than Dylan.

  • What are you talking about?

This guy can even play it better than fretkillr, even if his voice isn't as powerful as fretkillrs.

  • Dude, get a clue. Beautiful job man.

  • fretkiller i would say has better technic as a guitarist, but dude he sings it like a freaking full out country song, this dude is so much better

  • the best cover of this song uproaded on you tube, i think. great!

  • Awsome playing keep it up!

  • What guitar is that? Great job!!

  • Great job man, Your a picker for sure.

  • This is beautiful, you have done really well

  • MAGNIFIQUE

  • Really great fingerpicking. :)

  • It's a tie. Dylan played the harmonica much better and could sing it louder, but you can carry a tune, while keeping the voice rustic, and Dylan only dreamed of being able to fingerpick this song that well. Kudos

  • What do you mean dreamed of being able to fingepick this well...the fingerpicking on his original freewheelin version was far superior to this

  • desolation128: Dylan didn't pick this song. It was done by a professional guitar player in the recording of the song, and I know of now live show where Bob picked it.

  • The musician who played the fast travis picking on this song on the Freewheelin album was Bruce Langhorn, who also played guitar on a number of other early albums and songs. Bruce was a multi-instrumentalist who also played percussion and keys. He was the namesake and inspiration of Dylan's song, "Mr Tambourine Man." Bruce played Don't Think Twice on a 1920 Martin 1-21, which is a small guitar. Martin stopped making that size a long time ago.

google 'bruce langhorne auction martin 1-21'

  • Absolutely onefan-tastic. What a talented lad. You inspire me so much! Thanks

  • Superbe, peut être la meilleure version que j'ai entendue et j'ai 58 ans..Très très fidèle à l'original et vous jouez à merveille. five stars...or more.

  • What kind of guitar are you using?

  • damn, watching this a fk's version make me want to play guitar

  • You're a real musician.

  • Very good .Your interpretation match well with Dylan's soul

  • this is by far the best cover of this song. amazing guitaring. god u nailed it

  • Dylan runs through this guys blood i think. Damn good pick'n and singing.

  • really nice

  • Superb

  • Great!

  • wow good job on the finger pickin man

  • I like the way you sing the song, fairly raw. You don't have an amazing voice but I think that makes it better. I try to sing kind of like this when I play this song but my voice is a bit deeper

  • Wicked take man ~ transporting, just excellent, more please? ♫♪♫♪☺

  • i love it

  • nice work

  • Nice! harmonica great too. Maybe try enunciating less when you sing (if that makes any sense lol)

  • Great cover!

  • Amazing... Do you have any tabs for harp and guitar? because that was amazing

  • One word: AWESOME

  • can you give me the harp tabs??

  • Great Job - can you do a demo on travis picking this song and slow it down so i can see what your doing?

  • cracking job!

  • Like it.

  • this is great

  • heh.. rock out with the thumb

  • that's amazing man!!

anyone has a good tab for it?

  • wow. this is very very good.

  • wot key is the harp in? Is it just ur common C major?

  • E major

  • you really got the feel of the picking accents from the original; i've been working on that for a while and i know it's not as straightforward as it sounds, not as intuitive as it seems. thanks, i enjoyed it and learned a couple of things on fingering. i'm going to see if i can find some more videos by you.

  • joder joder... de puta madre! well done man, keep on playing!

  • Wonderfully well done. Respect to you.

  • hell yeah on the finger picking man. hopefully soon ill be posting videos of songs i like to play. maybe you can give me feedback

  • Mate, this is the most accurate version of the song I've seen on YouTube. Well done!

  • Excellent mate! I wish I had your talent for playing. Maybe try writing some of your own stuff.

  • Harp is also a name for harmonia

  • goose ;)

  • I wish I were you

  • Man,

3 years ago i took a guitat cos i wanted to play don't think twice...

    Now i can play it...

    up to you!

i'm not so moved by your vocals though ;)

  • I've been looking for a really great cover of this song and yours fills the bill.

    Thanks : )

  • finally correct picking

  • great job!

  • nice pickin' son!

  • Excellent version of the song... trying to pick up tips, thanks ...great - Paula n Steve

  • really nice at least the guitar and voice is close to perfect

  • amazing simply amazing sounds just like dylan just need a little word on your singing otherwise great!

  • the guitar and singing is great you just need to work on your harmonica.

  • 原曲に忠実で、上手い!感心した!

  • yah! what's the key for the harp..i can't find it anywhere!

  • The song is in E but Dylan uses an A harp and plays "cross harp". Sounds like this performer is using an E harp and playing normal style...correct me if I am wrong.

    Fantastic picking in this version!

  • what key is the harp in for this song?

  • Hutson, I am so impressed:)

  • very nicely played :D

  • perfect.
