The dog is a brown brindle bull terrier. There are different types, black brindle being the most rare. I have a Pitbull/Bull Mastiff female that is a black brindle, and when I bred her with a male that was a brown brindle, not one of the puppies were black brindles. That color is harder to get.
you would think that black brindle would be dominant over the brown brindle. of course if that male had a parent who was black brindle than a couple of your pups would have been black brindle also. that is interesting to know, thanks.
it's genetics man, if the male's genetic information is "stronger" than the female's one they will "win" and the original sir's colour is passed on the puppies. doesn't matter what the colour is! don't tell me that you keep dogs and breed them and you don't know this!
