Great viedo and even better sound through new PC/sound card. Shay Locos are beautiful as is the WV countryside. A visit to Cass is something I gotta do soon, thanks so much for posting.
This is a preview of a much longer video that we hope to have out in the near future. The views from the cab was an intregal part of the video thus the reason Mr. Fusco got a cabride in Shay #4.
Top notch videography, Joe! This has to be one of your most professional-looking productions to date. You simply cannot beat the sound of those beautiful steam whistles echoing off the hills. 10/10!!!

Love that whistle! Now how did Western maryland get to Cass?
xxxDeath9572xxx 3 years ago
The Western Maryland used to run to Spruce. The diesels you see belong to the West Virginia Central and came to Spruce from Elkins.
shayfan 3 years ago
Ok. I remember riding to Bald Knob and seeing the Western Maryland line way down below the Cass line. Do they still run trains to Bald Knob?
xxxDeath9572xxx 3 years ago
yes they still run to bald knob.
airvine023115 2 years ago
Awesome. The folks at Cass know how to run a railroad.

Nice man. Is that the Big #6 whistle i hear at the end? Cass is a GREAT experience.
drfunk411 3 years ago
Nope. That was the other Shay that powered the passenger train. I think Shay 2 wore that hooter.
CSX6000 3 years ago
I realized that when i watched the vid again. I checked my old vids from cass. The #6 has that low, warm yet loud whistle. If that makes any sense.
drfunk411 3 years ago
She doesnt have that low whistle anymore, since Danny is now the engineer lol.
