  • one of the generals are not going to support him after that mistake..lol Obama

  • Hes old... kinda loosing the memory

  • So this is the so-called 'more experienced' of the two presidential candidates... Probably a little bit too experienced and too old to remember anything. Embarrassing...

I want to see Palin on Meet the Press!

  • He's disappointed in General Colin Powell? Why? Does he mean he's disappointed not to get Powell's endorse.

The only disappointment is McCain, his campaign, his VP pick & his party!

McCain in Washington Post article said Bush and GOP where a spectacular tragic failure. Powell agrees.

Powell spoke 8 mins straight w/ out notes eloquently explaining why he was backing Obama & not McCain. They are my reasons as well. See the Meet the Press Video. Powell said it better than I could.

  • PS McCain has a 'D' grade from the Vote Vets orginizations. He voted against the Vets 6 of 9 times. Both Obama and Biden have a grade of 'B' grade.

  • George Schultz Grandpa!..George Shultz!..

  • Come on guys be realistic about this please, we all know the campaign has been vigorously tough on both candidates.

Obama almost did the same thing stating 57 states. when we know there are only 50 states. He was probably tired and slipped.

  • Yea but that was a slip, medical fact when your 72 your memory & thought process slow down; Grandpa said "CUNT" mommy. Ha ha

My gosh he's a ship with no rudder. Obama should bash him on saying the tax cut for the rich was irresponsible a few years ago. Now he's for it. He said drilling will do little, now is for it. Roe v Wade, flip, now its bad.

He wouldn't vote for his own Immigration bill now? At 72 I'm on a beach with a drink, under a shade tree w/ my much younger girlfriend fanning me.

  • Long gone but not forgotten, the 'bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran' Beach Boy-joke was definitely also a slip...'

  • Good grief. Could be be anymore of an embarassment to himself and the Rethuglican party????

  • OH GRANDPA !!LOL

  • Sure , the Generals support him, except for the retired ones, but ask a regular vet who has watched McSame vote against Veteran benefits every time, how they feel about this hypocrite ! Vote Obama , end this military madness !

  • I don't support John McCain for a whole bunch of reasons, but the inability to remember someone's name isn't one of them. If he couldn't remember 3 of the 5, I would be concerned.

  • Just dead that someone said this was a gotcha interview. Which questions were unwarranted? Brokaw is a McCain supporter but he put his job first. McCain was uncomfortable and not expecting his friend to put him under the bus.

  • LMFAO... what a loser!! I hope he loses... we don't need a fascist!

  • OMG what a fool. How can anyone expect this man to lead our country? I'm sorry be he just can't cope with todays modern world. OBAMA 2008!!!!

  • So what? Haven't you ever forgotten something important for a moment? He recalled the last name, George Schultz, 34 seconds after he started listing the other names ... sometimes I don't remember what I "forgot" until much, much later.

  • I just found it amusing, that's all. Thought others would too. No bias liberal left wing agenda by me posting the video...I just saw a crazy old guy forgetting something, then shouting out in the middle of the next question when he remembered the one name that he "admires enormously" finally came to him. It was funny, that's why it's here.

  • yeah. now i see what Sen. Clinton meant when she asked "who do you trust to answer the phone at 3 AM?" yeah.. definitely not this guy.

  • it was so amusing to see the cadaverick floundering for 30 straight minutes. he got crabbily defensive when it came to poll numbers, he resorted to boring talking points everytime a video of himself contradicted his campaign, and he exhibited weird facial gestures, inopportune laughing outbursts and fiddled with a pen the whole time, though he didn't write one thing.

    This guy is an embarrassment.

  • this is one of the gotcha interview, it should be about the issues that American people are concern with: economic, jobs, and taxes. not what some bias polls suggest whatsoever.

  • meet the press is the gold standard for political interviews. call it what you want, but believe you me, mccain didn't succeed today in swaying the independents.

  • ""it should be about the issues """

I totally agree ! Unfortunately McCain can't run on the issues that most Americans disagree with, so he's left with his lying , smear campaign that isn't working ! Congratulations America ,you fricken WOKW UP !!!

  • I think McCain interview with meet the press was outstanding, focus on the issues, and to the point. Not what bia polls are saying about him. I think we should wait and see on Nov. 4, 2008 who wins.

  • Would you like to bet me, I'll take Obama.
