wow! When i saw the title, i skeptical, thinking they wouldn't be able to portray mono no aware accurately.

Watching it until the end, however, they really got it with the video. beautiful.

I highly encourage people to google "mono no aware" and read a couple of different sources about what it is. Its hard to fully explain in english, but if you understand it, the video makes a lot more sense.

What I have perceived from this cinematography...

I feel the woman was in love and still very much is, but the person she is in love with has moved on and the metaphorical house they lived in, where they lived together happily is now quite colourless. Unfortunately, the relationship seems to have gone cold and she is now reminiscing and dwelling on the past, as she cannot let go... Her footsteps and imprints on his life are slowly evaporating.
