hi there just wandering cos ive just got one of these bass's and have a few problems with it i dont think the neck it too my liking, but was wandering if i could get some lacker on there to make it play alot better ? and i have it with a pre amp but sounds a bit fuzzy too. and last but not least a lil fret buzz on the 12th fret any one got any recommendations ????
It's been years since I've played a real MusicMan so I can't really say. Maybe someone else here can. I do remember it was really heavy though compared to my Precision. But I'm happy with this one.
hey man, very nice! does any body know if the playability and tone on this is compariple to a musicman??i am looking for one of these or a music man bass so yea. thanks for your responce
I own this bass and I'd say apart from the electronics not being active, it sounds pretty close to the real deal. (plus its not as heavy as a "real" stingray)
One pickup (bridge) like yours, is the OLP MM2 bass, this must be an MM22, 4 strings and 2 humbuckers. I'm getting the MM32 =D (5 strings and 2 humbuckers)
Hey im thinking of buying one of theese, got time to put up some other vids with it? Maybe playing a few songs people might have heard of to get a better idea of the sound, cheers!
So sorry - I replied from my other account. Look for the vid entitled Home-Made Jam 4: "There's a Waiter in My Soup". I think that one one gives you a pretty good idea of how this bass sounds. Cheers.
Everyone has the right to play a instrument like a musicman but only the chosen ones deserve the real thing!!! Sound is pretty nice, but Musicman is better with lightyears..that's why the price difference!
iv played this bass, on the same amp i have at guitar center,it sounds nice, but it dosent even sound anything like a stingray...its way different...so buy it if u like the sound of it....not if u want a MM 4 cheap
I was always curious if those basses sounded better for slap and such with the dual humbuckers and since they cost 1000 less than the real thing, thanks.
That's not the fault of the bass. The finger noise is the result of two things: 1) The computer mic is picking up the string sounds as well as what's coming out of the amp; 2) As I'm mostly playing guitar now, my right hand fingernails are longer than they should be for the bass. (That and the fact that I'm horribly rusty.)
love the room

It was just listed as "blonde". The wood's got a really nice flamed grain.
