we need a rematch because the cotto foreman fight was uneven cause foreman came to the fight witha hurt knee that threw off his balance, movements, and punches. Cotto is a hard hitter, but that isn't what won it for him. He was actually getting off on the jab, fighting the Emanuel Steward style he was trained for. Cotto fought better than he has in years, I was surprised.

This is Foreman's moment. Much like when Cotto had his with Mosley. He beat an all-time best 147lber! But he lost that 'spark', not his talent, but something's missing. It's a Boxer-Brawler fight & that's always a guaranteed good match. Cotto won't perform well later on with the weight gain. Foreman can last, probably tire out Cotto & if he avoids Cotto's power, Foreman will get a UD or SD depending on judges. Cotto wont win enough rds with Foreman's speed, Cotto needs an early KO to win.

Cotto took two rough losses to Margarito...& Pacquiao. They really seemed to hurt his spirit. His whole life revolved around boxing. He was tired at the end of all his 10 or 12 round fights, especially in the fights with Pacman and Margarito. He was running on pure heart.

I just can't stress how much the brawler, Cotto will be hurt by that weight gain. His speed will disappear & he can't afford to lose that against someone with the timing like Foreman who can slip in & out of reach in a flash.

@tftmc You make a good point. But when Cotto fought Pacquiao, he had to starve himself to 145; that also hurt him. Cotto is better off as a jr. middleweight than at 145 in my opinion.

Cotto is tough, but Yuri is quick and a natural 154lber. Regardless of outcome it will be a Boxer vs Brawler and boxing history shows Boxer-Brawler matches are the best.

Just because you don't possess the punching power, doesn't mean you don't have the chin. In fact many boxing analysts will tell you they find Cotto's chin questionable. But he hits hard, he's tough but mentally takes the punishment.

Foreman is also a natural 154lber, that should help him with Cotto's power.
