  • @rayzian It's cuz the auto transmission in the 79-04 GT's is a 4speed Shitbox. 5 speed with a good driver would have put a bus length on that RSX from a dig with a good launch. Either way the k20 in the rsx will respond better than the 2v 4.6L v8 bolt on to bolt on but in this case it still reverts to power to weight ratio and in this case being what looks like 99-04 gt 260hp (stock) 3400lbs vs 210hp (stock) rsx that weighs probably 400-500lb's less it's going to be close!

  • "Mustang GT" doesn't really tell us much. This could be an auto vert, which you'll often see running ABOVE 14.5. At the same time, you can take the same GT in a 5spd hardtop with 3.73s, a tune and some minor bolt on work and easily run a 13.5.

And you put 450 HP into less volume than a 2 litre soda bottle and youre lookin to rebuild every 1000 miles. Put that in a 4.6 V8 Stang and it will last till the body rots out. BTW, the mustang weighs nearly 2 times what your POS car does, having more weight per HP and still smokes your Type R. anything else?

  • @SebastianLong boosted properly, the rsx will (and this is by experience) will run great if rebuilt correctly when attempting to boost it. I know someone that has 25lbs and already drove 20,000 miles with no problems. But any car that is abused heavily will bleed like a vagina on you. And that gt has such a low consumer rating with enough problems as is and packing it more horsepower will end up making it a weekend car, and just unaffortable to drive daily.

  • @russianfrederation u can have the car boosted to 1,000,000 psi...but if u never push the car past the throttle needed to drive like a grandma you'll see the lift expectancy of the engine...as RPM's increase, so does the boost...so if u drive it around at 1500 RPM's u might be pushing 5.5 to 8.5 pounds of boost...and you pack anything with HP you will burn more fuel..period..real cars are not run on Eco concerns...and you think Eco cars are enviro friendly, where does the batteries come from?

  • @SebastianLong a bolt-on RSX-S can beat a 99-04 GT. And that's with about 210-220whp. And it is 2 liters. K20=2.0. B16=1.6. B18=1.8. Understand honda motors now? You didn't understand the other guy either. It will take that heavy weight car double the amount of power to beat most hondas. There are faster hondas that are stock, and some in the high 12's I can mention

  • @SebastianLong they have NSX's in Japan too. just like the acura integra we have, is called honda integra (DC2), and the Acura RSX is honda integra (DC5). also, if a k20 swapped civic that weighs 2500-2600lbs and 210whp (~235hp to the crank) can run 12.9, then what can Japans Civic RR that weighs 2414lbs and k22 motor with 260hp run? it weighs less than the car that ran 12.9, and it has another ~25hp

  • Great vid just goes to show how well made hondas are. You really can't knock 100 ponies per liter with the ability rev to 8000 rpm. Tell me your precious v8's can do that and I'll show you some respect. For the m3 guys, and the rest of you, you can easily purchase a type s and use the difference to build a much much better and faster machine. 2.0>4.6 is proper engineering.  I enjoy muscle cars but for those who are ignorant you need to understand your cars. The fastest isn't everything.

  • @bryandc2eg Lol, Vtec means extras valves at high RPMs, its not a regular 4 cyl. Vtec is a kind of boost. Remove Vtec from all Honda and i can smoke them with a Mazda Protegé.
