@FireInTheOrganism I'm not so sure about the combat equipment part, Communist forces had to pay through the nose for that Soviet ordinance, it definitely wasn't free...
i feel sorry for the people of the south vietnamese my cant explain my feelings right now since i saw that civilians dead.... if im the president of the united states in vietnam war i will not pull out all american forces until north vietnamese are not destroyed.....i feel sorry for you guys....... T_T
Did the North Vietnamese had bombers? Did they have bombers? Did they have outstanding lines of communication? They did have unlimited amount of supplies? They have basics, basic of everything, just the damn basic and still they kicked asses, they fought with courage and they fought until they would either win a battle or lose it, stay alive or die. That's more courage than any SOB US soldier that had no business invading a country that had done nothing to them EVER.
the north vietnamese used tanks against refugees and blew them to peaces and put mines in the road to kill them, it was a low life dirty trick but the protesters around the world never saw any thing wrong with that, they never protested against that why, because they were played by north vietnam punked ,and these are the same punks that destroyed the worlds economy today ,scumbags.
@troytblevins When your country is the one carpet-napalm-bombing villages at will, both N. Vietnamese and S. Vietnamese, in the first place, you have no credibility to talk about being "punked."
@troytblevins Yo scumbags, how many crimes against humanity are the US troops responsible for? Of course, that's something you won't mention, you will also not mention that they needed to do things to tip this balance in the favor against a GROSSLY overly powerful country fighting them. The fact is, you have no fucking business in Vietnam, you are the murderers, they are the defenders.
Gulf of Tonkin? NV launched all the offensives to invade. What's the big mystery here? The Tonkin story is a nothing in the full picture of Vietnamese liberation wars; which were unfortunately waged on the base of communism.
Once the final push by the NVA in '75 the south fell in about 3 months. A vietnam vet told me once the ARVN only really fought if the Americans were present to make them fight.
5:20 "north vietnamese had mined the road to stop evacuating refugees" yeah fucking right.

No mention about the "Gulf of Tonkin incident".... *shifty eyes*

@al6954 This episode doesn't talk about "causes" that led to intervention. There are plenty of documentaries that mention Gulf Of Tonkin.
