37425 is now stored, and 37411 is stuck in Arpley; it had a major engine failiure on the back end of February, and it looks like it won't be working for EWS again, unless the repairs can be carried out.
Saw these as I passed Earlestown on a service to Manchester Piccadilly, when i was going to Stoke-On-Trent. They were in the Warrington from Newton line...
i'm extreemly happy because now on the 24/03/08 i saw two DRS 37s at nortin crossing and then what else but 37425 and 37405 comming the other way they were doing about 50 and the line speed is 120 so thast and clag and a waved and got a horn!
LOL! Well done for copping the DRS tractors! BTW, 425 is currently non-operational on the mainline (as of March 2008), so you'll have either seen 422, 411 or 401.
well my first tractor experance and i was on a barge on a canal going next to the train line i saw them no i hared them from about 1 mile away so i jumped off the bardge and ran to the crossing gates and got my pfone ready witch was flat to i only have the memory i'm gonna go back there tomorro with a proper camara and after that i might go to warrington BTW nortain crossing is the cewre-liverpool mainline pendos and voagers run and as i found out TRACTORS! (i've nearly filles this box)
chek my 2 pendos and 92 @ nortan no horns of these tho and i need to cut the vid with the 40 in down abit 'coz its the 40 arply yard and a 08 shuting in the same vid but what the heck i'll upload it anyway
BTW, if you're there again on Friday, you might get a deltic coming through! Can't be sure of it mind, but there is something floating around. Look out for a private message with a link in it shortly.
got it do you know what platform it will be comming though? 'coz i normally watch though the fence but becouse its a deltic i'll go on the platform pfone and earmufs in hand LOL!
f****ng hell HELLFIRE was the deltic and i think you were stould infront of me! when it blew its horn you looked round and looked about 23 tripod camara was it you?
Me too. I last saw 37425 pulling away from Crewe on a North Wales charter only two years ago. And now that I've capped 37411, that completes my ambition of seeing the remaining EWS 37's in traffic, unless 401 is reinstated of course. Cheers HSTHoward!

I have seen 37411 in Arpley Yard on countless occasions, but to be honest I haven't seen 37425 since Earlestown.

I dunno, It was on the 18th October, i think, but they were on Platform 4, and it was a complete shock to me! I didnt have a clue about them!!!

Keep your eyes peeled next time you're knocking around Bank Quay. You get the odd 37 there and then, but it won't last forever. Cheers Woolybak8.
