I was often said the Billie Holliday had a face that almost sounded as if it was another instrument that was in the band playing her part. I feel like James Brown is a lot the same, except he's a superinstrument designed specifically for soul. It's not just that he's funky and soulful, it's more the fit; just the right amount of funk and soul for a particular song. JB hits me deeper than any other artist, and I love him for it. Thank you Godfather.

Loved this when I first heard it as a kid. Love it now, nothings changed. Sorry I never got to personally meet JB. Although I've seen him in concert 7 times back in the day. Whew!!!!!
