They have a sample of the glass and it is a foot thick :o actually more.. It is the best aquarium. I live in ATL and were makin a field trip there and goin to the varsity too. Lol it's like Atlanta day.. Going to see it's most prominent features.. Went to zoo Atlanta last year! Go see it, you'll come out better than you went in. :)

I love when people talk about how cruel it is to put animals in tanks. Because I'm sure the whale sharks would rather be in the ocean having their fins lobbed off to be tossed back to drown. All so some rich ahole can enjoy a tasteless piece of flesh because it's a status symbol. The 6.3 million gallon Ocean Voyager is a refuge for these animals from the horrible place much of the ocean has been made into.

I been there on a field trip and its biggg. . they have this thing that you stand on and it moves and while your riding through you can see the fishes swimming over your head and the 3D movie is the best. . the fishes will be dancing in front of your face and when the fishes splash water in the movie is like water fall from the ceiling on you and this one fish got stuck in seaweed and a rope or something grab our lets then let go and of course i screamed lol but its really worth the money!!! :)

I live in southern Louisiana and I visit the Audobon Aquarium of the Americas in New Orleans frequently. I went to the Georgia Aquarium last year while my family and I were on vacation. Although the Georgia Aquarium was great, I felt like it didn't have as much as the Audobon Aquarium. Besides the whale shark tank, the aquarium is rather small. BUT, I DID EXTREMELY love the whale shark exhibit in Atlanta, and it was one of the coolest experiences I've ever had in my life.

I agree that this is beautiful and that many people wouldn't have the chance to this if there were no aquariams. But I think it's ridiculous to have such large animals in which is to them, a tiny space. They should be roaming around the sea. If it weren't for humans being so selfish they could be. They can't belong anywhere can they, if they're at sea, there is sea pollution from ships, etc or we coop them up in zoos and aquariams. It's not right.
