Dear militarywife: since when did Military Keynesianism not constitute big government; I suppose bloated defense budgets affirm neoliberal logic insofar that you can always "restructure" the countries of which you annex. But I don't think Milton Friedman would argee, as Empires are never self-substaining nor solvent- a fact evidenced by the current fiscal imperial overstretch.

It's important to mention that under Obama's plan, 95% of the population will experience no tax increase.

Well, currently, the wealthy in this country pick up about 80% of the tax burden, 40% of people PAY NO TAXES (they get it all back in a refund), and 6% of the population are UNEMPLOYED.

WHERE'S THE MONEY GOING TO COME FROM?? THE WEALTHY CAN'T HANDLE IT ALL!

The government is going to fail if Obama is elected- with Pelosi and Reid and the other Dem's in Congress... just watch.

Thank you canditaylor68, Obama can be as compassionate as he wants with his own money. What happened to trusting that good people will kindly donate to causes that they personally feel are important to them? The government, absolutely should not mandate compassion or generosity. That so many American's are ready to blindly accept socialism is astounding and shows that we have forgotten our history and the role that capitalism has played in making this country great.

Obama is not compassionate. Compassionate is allowing the American people to donate of their time,energy, and funds using free-will. Obama wants to take money from people who have earned it and give it to people who have not earned it in order to make it "fair" for them. Explain how that is fair-that a husband and wife must work 60-65 hrs each a week to even come close to making 200k a yr-yet give away 60% of their income. What is the people who pay extra taxes getting in return?
