hv30 footage looks just as good as the xha1 in my opinion. they both have the same data rates and resolution.

@BenHughesStudios Even though they have the same specs, the things like manual control, better color depth, etc. on the xha1 make it that much better. In some cases, the hv30 can look just as good as you said, but it depends who's operating it- whether or not they know how to use it to it's fullest extent.

We kinda knew the ending would be a bit (very) obvious so we didnt try to disguise where it was heading (we even thought of putting a giant 'X' under ross). I think what makes it work is the way rostigan nicely built up the tension in the edit and then the pay off, which isnt as much the surprise but rather the act itself- and the execution of the effect. I think ross did a fuckin excellent job on the effect........................­..............................­................for his first time
