How can I possibly know if there is life after death you ask? Well, it depends on if you have died, met God and then came back to tell about it. We as humans do not even have a clue as to what the universe and life are about, but we are slowly learning. As for me guessing about it, I am basing what I say on observed criteria, and taking it from there, as any scientist would do. So many supernatural experiences occur all the time, and something has to be causing them.

You are right to an extent. Many experiences have normal causes but the environment and our mindset affects how we perceive it. But there are events that we have witnessed and caught on media that have extraordinary circumstances that go beyond natural occurence. Regardless of your belief system, whether it is a ghost, spirit, or just something in the environment, there are physical anomalies (EM fields, high ions)that occur in these rare events. That's a very valid point. Not nutty at all. What YOU experience is what is important. No one can say with 100% certainty what is going on with this phenomena. I have met others who have had similar experiences with smells. One, a hardened skeptic, witnessed the smell and sight of cigar smoke appearing at his residence after the passing of his father.
I think you have a gift, and would advise you to seek help to understand it better from your local spiritualist church. People there are verry friendly and you should get the push you need to develop further. I hope you and wish you health and happiness.

I understand what you mean and i respect that. But its not that we have been dumbed down the last 100 years. We have become smarter. 100 years ago they had no eksplenation to these unnatural things. I think perhaps us older hippy's have become smarter. I recently looked though a high schooler's' science book and was appalled at the lack of anything pertinent being taught to the young people now. I went to school in the 60's & 70's and we were taught soooo much more about science and how things worked. Now they are taught what I consider vague references to physical science. As for the mind playing tricks on you, yes that can and does happen. There are subjective experiences and objective experiences in the supernatural. If you and other people experience a phenomenon, chances are that what you saw did happen, that is objective viewing. If you experience it by yourself, the possibility of it being a hallucination is there. To add just a bit more, when I was your age, I read a book called 'The psychology of ghosts'. I forget who the author is, but your librarian might be able to find it for you. It is a very 'objective' book about how the human mind precieves ghosts and the supernatural and the conclusions it comes to. People have different beliefs to what ghosts are. I believe ghosts are demonic manifestations to deceive people. They can change their appearance to any form. They didn't see your Great Grandma as she is in a much better place, instead a demonic manifestation to distract them from the truth.

I have met others who have had similar experiences with smells. One, a hardened skeptic, witnessed the smell and sight of cigar smoke appearing at his residence after the passing of his father.

I think you have a gift, and would advise you to seek help to understand it better from your local spiritualist church. People there are verry friendly and you should get the push you need to develop further. I hope you and wish you health and happiness.

To continue, because peoples minds have been dumbed down over the past 100 years due to our 'educational system', they have a group mentality. If you try to explore anything beyond that group mentalitiy then you are considered a 'weirdo' and not of 'the body', and to be dismissed. Oh, that's just swamp gas, a hallucination, you're doing drugs, etc. Not many take the time to actually use their minds and reason things out, its better to let someone do it for you. Cheers!

I understand what you mean and i respect that. But its not that we have been dumbed down the last 100 years. We have become smarter. 100 years ago they had no eksplenation to these unnatural things. Now that people can eksplain these things fewer people start to believe in it. I think that it might be a afterlife but ghosts just dont make sense to me... At all.

I think perhaps us older hippy's have become smarter. I recently looked though a high schooler's' science book and was appalled at the lack of anything pertinent being taught to the young people now. I went to school in the 60's & 70's and we were taught soooo much more about science and how things worked. Now they are taught what I consider vague references to physical science. I have encountered engineers who can't build a fire, and people like that are running this country.

Also, there seems to be a new group of children whom I call 'Drone kids', they eat less than healthy foods at fast food restaurants, which are full of flavor enhancing chemicals and hormones that shut down brain functions. These kids are pudgy, androgynus and basically idiots. Latch Key kids is another name for them. Anyhow, my point, and my point is Grey9? Outside of a few million, a good amount of adults are seriously lacking education and nutrition which go hand in hand with intelligence.

Unfortunately, you have been taught the wrong things about a 'hippie'. Earthy people would be the more correct term, but hippie generates an era of love, peace and understanding. And if you look at the surviving hippies, they are healthier, smarter, and much more well to do than the new generation of up and coming 'suits'. If you eat enough hormones and chemicals that are in modern day foods, your brain, and bodily functions will suffer. I shudder at what smokers will suffer in the near future.

The largest drug misusers in the entire wolrd right now are the meth users. That includes all ages, races and classes of people. It used to be opium, but meth has far outsurpassed even that. You know, meth users really are not what one could consider human anymore, and they are closer to finding out what a ghost is with their use of it. Well, the stereotypical view of a hippy is a pot smoking, scuzzy looking, anti-social creep. However, that persona was developed and created by the media and the movies. A lot of 'Earth People' who are extremely good people consider themselves 'Hippies'. They grow organic foods, try not to spoil the enviroment by using products that are known to be harmful to it, and keep a peace with God. There are good people and bad people in any group. Even 'Ghosts'. LOL

As for the mind playing tricks on you, yes that can and does happen. There are subjective experiences and objective experiences in the supernatural. If you and other people experience a phenomenon, chances are that what you saw did happen, that is objective viewing. If you experience it by yourself, the possibility of it being a hallucination is there. One thing we must caution ourselves about is that we should never say that something is impossible, we do not know everything. Have Fun!

To add just a bit more, when I was your age, I read a book called 'The psychology of ghosts'. I forget who the author is, but your librarian might be able to find it for you. It is a very 'objective' book about how the human mind precieves ghosts and the supernatural and the conclusions it comes to. One thing the book did stress as I remember, was to keep an open mind and not shut out any possibility. In the end of course, we all have to make up our own minds about such things. Be Good!

In this hurried world, things move so fast that an easy explanation fills in for what might take quite a bit of research to find out exactly what caused the phenomenon. We give the words "Ghosts" and "Supernatural" to seemingly unexplanable things to have a common point of reference when we try to illustrate something that took place. wmbdm..at one point in my life I did believe that myself..let me ask you something and see if you know cause everyone that I have asked doesnt have an answer for me..in the bible on judgement day..it mentions about the seas giving up its dead..so are peoples souls still there in the sea or does God take them from hell and heaven..put the souls where they died at and then brings them up to be judged..that seems kinda pointless and anyway the bible mentions about mysteries that will not be known

Many psychis believe we all go to heaven and everything is forgotten from the past. . . but if that is the case we will share heaven with murderers and pedos and other sickos. Personally i believe their souls are discarded to a dark place to suffer for eternity. But there you go lol.

Me thinks unclean spirits are dirty brown or dark in color denoting no wash in the underworld while of course clean spirits always comes out pearly white :) good commercial for a detergent don't you think??

People have different beliefs to what ghosts are. I believe ghosts are demonic manifestations to deceive people. They can change their appearance to any form. They didn't see your Great Grandma as she is in a much better place, instead a demonic manifestation to distract them from the truth.

I had my fair share of ghostly encounters including my grandma, but every time I spoke the name of Jesus their true appearance was shown, and they are demonic. I hope you can find the right answers for yourself and whatever might give you peace.

You sir are a failure of thought. Evil is a word that has no true connection to anything. Something that is evil to one person may not be evil to anther. Along those lines evil was not a concept until the 3 Abraham religions came around. Before those were established as top faiths only the idea of honor existed.
