ah mega man 4, the forgettable middle child as far as music goes :)

one reason why the music is for some people a bit forgettable might be the fact that for megaman 4 capcom had hired a new composer who maybe didnt quite have the grasp of megaman yet, however as megaman 5 OST clearly states, she got the hang of it pretty soon :)

I really disagree with Mega Man 4's music not being on par with Mega Man 2 and 3. It's on par, and the gameplay is better than Mega Man 2 and 3.

That always crossed my mind, because by the time I got to Mega Man 4, I did get a little bored of the same concepts. that may be the case, cause by the time I got to Mega Man 4, my expectations got a little higher. Hype skews opinion, maybe mine is warped, but you can't deny, 4 is far from a breath of fresh air.

@JPhands 4 was the first Megaman game I ever played, and to this day, it is my favorite when it comes to the music, robot masters, and gameplay. I think this is when Megaman peaked.

2 and 3 just aren't as much fun as 4 was, though they're still far from bad games.

Dust Man's theme always manages to make me feel sad, I'm not sure why... Perhaps it's because it's kind of a robot graveyard in a sense. I always felt bad about killing him.

The most Meloncholy-sounding song on here would be "Pharoah Man", which has always made me think of the song: "It's Much too Late for Goodbyes", though it doesn't strike memory Chords for me like "Gemini Man" does. It's probably my second favorite song on here.

I love the Pharaoh Man theme but I hate fighting him when I was young.. He is just so fast.. It took me a while to realise that his weakness is bright man's flash stopper. MM4 really brings back memory~!

@NerdilyDone You're probably right. I've seen 5 year olds analyze art far better than I ever could :) But in all honesty, 4's soundtrack isn't that bad, it's different than 2 or 3's, and to me, it seems a bit more sad. Which isn't a bad thing, just an interesting change of music.
