  • sounds like a snowmobile

  • The 12a Mild Port died after 13 years of being abused, the car has had an "interesting" paint job and is now running a 12a Bridgeport again built by Redline Rotary, which is still being run in. Hoping for 200hp atw on a weber. New videos will be up soon

  • @ibridgey hi mate, is Alex still in Auburn? im wanting to get one like yours but been putting it off for about 10yrs now too busy. sorry to be a nuisance but im new to rotaries in general, but ive knon alex since brookvale

  • @enilyksnor Yeah mate Alex is still around. He's at Auburn now on 194 Parramatta road, he'll be able to sort you out with your rotary needs.

  • Is this your car??

  • Love that rotary sound!

  • Absolutely love that exhaust note. Sounds just like a killer bee.

  • 140HP from a 12A EXCELLENT, nice work.

  • how did you get a elephant?

  • Thats the worst sounding exhaust ever.

  • @s2bp not wrong sounds like absolute shit, needs a rotaflow

  • @s2bp Not much else a modified rotary is gonna sound like.

  • oh yeah and its an extend port done by ric shaw

  • aprox how much hp would i get out of it with a carb with a little work done to it (12a extend port nice exhaust and jetted carb)??

  • Dude just pay a local shop to throw your car on the dyno. Guesstimating isnt going to get you accurate numbers. Not trying to be a douche just my two cents.

  • lots of varibles. why do u even care just thrash it and have fun

  • this may sound like a dumb question but i'm trying to learn about rotary engines but isnt the 13b a better engine?

  • When you know nothing... Say nothing! 12A is a Double Rotor! Check on Wiki!

  • 12-a is a two Rotor just like the 13-b . The 12-a is a 1.2 litter and the 13-b is a 1.3 litter engine. and Yes the 20-b is a three rotor. the diff is a little more torque and horse power between the 12-a and 13-b., ohh the 13-b comes with fuel injection.

  • 13B for street use, good power. If you want more power, go for the 20B but that is really expensive.

  • oh, my bad srry

  • Their the same except when you have the sixth port 13b rotory. depending on how you port the engine and give clutch tranny and rear combinations with the rite gear ratials and driver you cant tell the difference. But by factory stat the 13-b comes with a little more torque. The 12-a is a more reliable engine espeacially if you can get your hands on a 79 to 82 12-a engine.

  • Ohh forgot the 13-b come fuel injected ...and that means you have a computer and with the rite tunning and money you can make huge gains in horse power and torque. Either or they both have their own qualities.

  • So thats how much hp it an do with a performance carb and a street/mild port? Nice vid and sound!!

  • Its a standard mild port mate, with a 50 mil weber making 150 hp the engine is 10 yrs old and still going strong as he first built it.

  • english please?

  • its my uncle s car and its a mild port runnung a weber 51mm ithink and when we first tuned it it had 160hp atw the mods are a custom exaust and sumn other goodies ,and the motor is over 8years old and its still strong

  • how much hp atw should i expect from my series 1 rx7 12a with good exhuast and jetted carby? The rebuild was done about 3 years ago it has good compresion and blows no smoke

  • that definately isnt a mild port

    i had a 12a J port and i only made 160hp in my series 2 rx7

that sounds like a half extend/half bridge if you ask me

  • clueless much why dont u rock up to there and find out..

  • what modifications does it have besides the mild port?

  • it now has a race built (circuit) 13 bpp

the old motor was sold about 1 week ago

  • cool

  • they just put it in so they can run it in b4 it gets raced, increases engine reliability

  • also to break in the new motor, racing a new motor is an idiot idea. need at least 1,000 miles to break it in let the seals heat up and seat properly.
