• lol IKEA i Japan også :D

  • you don't sound to happy to be in japan.

  • A lot of japaneses people? In Japan? No shit.....

  • Sugoi ^~

  • hej da

  • what are you doing there? awessome!

  • who'd u go with?

  • wake up in tokyo...

  • "..with legs and, stuff." I was about to laugh and ended up coughing on my computer screen, very funny. Cool that IKEA has a bus, is it only for transport to their store or is it just advertisement?

  • That sounds fun. Hope you guys had fun. How much is a ticket a month apart? $1,100?

  • i like this background music

  • lol with legs and stuff. most crickets have legs lol

  • no they dont that is a common myth

  • Hey, you got a zit, lol ^.^

  • Wow.

    A month in Japan.

    Must be nice.

  • PS I also loved Shanghai but hated all the touts trying to sell the fake watches etc.

  • Hi, I hope you enjoyed your time in Monzen Nakacho, I had one of the larger apartments (B101) a couple of years ago, I also had the "crickets" (to be honest I think they were roaches (>,<) as mine made no noise at all). I was in Tokyo again this year staying in Megome this time (south west Tokyo, again Sakura House), a much larger and nicer apartment but cost a lot more. I didn't get to see Ikea while there but it's an interesting concept on mixing Swedish and Japanese style :)

  • Japan? I envy you so much.

One of the countrys I ever wanted to visit...

    Oh sticks. Yet again. :D

  • hey next time your abroad invite me!!!! please...myspace/experiment_iv

  • pillows from rice? oh well, good for midnight snacks I guess ;)

  • you cant beat the humble spud.

  • heres a question me and my mates from london want to go to toyko or shanghi which one was the best place do u reckon?

  • There's no way i could choose!! The cities are very different. Shanghai is cheap as hell, and tokyo the opposite. But i actually think you would have more fun in Tokyo!

  • You should of brought a fork!! and I don't know if anyone told you but, that is a Japanese roach-cricket.. you went all the way to Japan to shop at IKEA and eat Swedish meatballs...lol

  • it took her 1 HOUR to get out! She was mad. and then they were all you have to go through the check out lines and she was all "But I dont even have anything to buy!" and they were all "so..." and she saw a pathway out and she was all "can I just go that way?" and they were all "No you have to go through the line!" and she was all "Watch me!" and she went out. Theyre NUTS! she said no one should really try to go there for a week or two!

  • hahha lol, thanks for the story!! :D

  • lol a real one...with like..leggs!lol.Thats krazy! They just opened a IKEA like 2 days ago here in UTAH(USA).Its nuts. This girl I know was super excited for it&yesterday she went to just look cause she knew it would be too crazy to actually buy anything yet&she took her 1 year old lil boy&they had to stand in line to get in&then when they were in they were like stuffed in&she said they wouldnt let her out the in doors cause they "had a route"&so she had to wait&wait&wait to get out.

  • I love these travel videos.

  • I applaud you (and are extremely jealous I might add) for making these vids. I always dreamed of going to Japan one day. Which part are you staying in if I may ask?. I know Tokyo is a MASSIVE city.

It was cool you showed the IKEA, I work in one in England and get excited(yeah I'm sad) every time I see another one lol.

  • Hhaha thanks! :P

  • Can you find my old roommate and tell him i said whats up. I miss that dude.

Anyway, Hope you have fun in japan. Ive been dying to go.

  • I sure will!!

  • heyyyy eeemaaaaaaaaaa... i can comment again and i dont know why, but wtf?! I dont care, it just works!!! yaaayyyy... lol, greetz

  • Yaaaay =D

  • Have a good time in Japan.Really....after all that history...don't you think they could have done better than two little sticks?Just kidding, I know how much you love chopsticks.

  • trick some guy to show you about tokyo.

so you don't waste time in tourist traps and crap stores like ikea. i am sure it will be easy for a caucasian blond, becaue the japanese suffer badly from low self esteem and white worshipping. many white men get everyhing paid for by the local girls and literally jump from one girl's bed to another on a daily basis, getting room and board for free. I am not saying u should go that far, but just letting u know the possibilities.

  • Eww, a bug :| manky!

  • I am pretty sure that was a roach, unless it was some weird sort of Japanese cricket. And they have Ikeas in America too. Mostly up north I think. I went to one when I was a kid. Actually, we still have a desk from there. It must be fifteen years old by now.

  • yes, a "roach" not a cricket. :P

  • Sorry if that came off as condescending. I often forget how many YouTubers use English as a second language. I didn't mean to be arrogant.

  • If I learned Swedish as well as you know English, I might vist Japan but I probably would only ever have internet access. You sure do get around.

  • i think your pillow is made out of rice husk.

did you tried TAKOYAKI or OKONOMIYAKI?

  • have you been to Ikea in kungens kurva?

  • umm... is the guy in the song saying "crybaby" ?

  • i don't know if it's cry baby or crybaby!

  • Hope you have fun!

  • I'm afraid it's not cricket, but a cockroach...X( (Unless it's making the right sound.) Crickets' season's autumn, and they are tiny. I'm japanese and the picture made me almost jump! I'd kill it. Be careful, they fly. And is the pillow really made of rice? not beans?? Never heard of rice pillow...

Hope you enjoy your staying ;)

  • THOSE MEATBALLS ARE SOOO NICE! They have them in the one in London.

  • i think they are called Kötbullar or something like that and i love'em too. probably the best thing sweden ever did.

no, second place, you're the best Eemma.

actually sweden has a lot of cool stuff:

    saab,ikea,moose,blondes,etc

  • Abba, lol

  • lol :P

  • holy crap i didnt know you went to japan, how the hell are you able to get the time of work to holiday so much?

oh and loving the mad chopstick skills ;)

  • That Ikea looks eerily similar to the Ikea that's right by my house, except for the signage text, and the bus is twice as big as mine. And how come I don't get a little Swedish flag with my meatballs???

  • pfff still no skills at using chop sticks. aericwinter must be dismayed haha:)

  • what are you doing there? awessome!

  • 17 hours?? wow be careful, the next step is coma!!

  • Your pillow was made out of rice? Was it a brown rice pillow? Because brown rice is supposed to be better for you. Of course rice gets dry without sauce, and no one wants to sleep in the sauce. You didn't say what you bought at IKEA. You didn't go there just to eat, did you? When I go to IKEA, I always order the same thing: Swedish meatballs and a coffee table.

  • u go to japan and u go to ikea? OK?! Are u gonna do more product tests for aeric winter?

  • Well, we have to keep going bigger, right? (c;

  • Does your room have one of those toilets that squirt water up your bum?

  • IKEA rocks. Many are the lost weekends I ahve spent there, searching for missing children and disconnected grandmothers. Everything in Japan is small. The people, the houses, the public parks. Except their generosity. That's frighteningly HUGE!

  • nemen roligt:D I wish you the bestest time in Tokyo^__^

  • Did you say Yokohama? Don't know what else they make but I've seen their tires. :P

Very interesting. Never have been to IKEA.

    Hope you have fun!

  • The Ikea looks just like the ones around here, except for the chopsticks. Looking forward to seeing your videos of Japan!

  • No its not a cricket!

  • Just don't sneak off to mcdonalds this time mkay! :P

  • ooh, I'm so envious of all your adventures! But it's so interesting to see where you are visiting! We always get Swedish meatballs when we go to Ikea, nobody makes them better! I thought Japanese sticks were pointy, so I thought they would be easier because you can just stab your food (yeh-I don't think I'd look very elegant trying to use any kind of chopsticks lol!)

  • lol, pet cricket. Is his name Jiminy? Aw you are one lucky girl to be in Tokyo. I hope you have a wonderful time. Sigh Eemma the world traveler. You really need to open a paypal account so we can help donate.

  • I've already got a paypal, so keep 'em coming :P

  • lol, well you should post it? Maybe some of your affluent viewers can send you some spending money?...lol

  • Haha Hej då vid utgången, fan va svensk hypat IKEA är utomlands :D.

  • how do you have enough money to travel everywhere?

  • Oh poor thing, you sound exhausted. I know the jet lag in that direction can be a real crusher, but looks like you slept it off pretty well.

I fancy myself quite the traveler, too, but I admit am jealous of your funds that allow to visit places like Shanghai and Tokyo (one of the most expensive places on the globe). I'm looking forward to lots of cool footage of Tokyo and wherever else you'll go in Japan.

    And WTG IKEA for infiltrating Japan! (c;

    Hejda, Emma!

  • Hahah thanks Aeric!! :D

  • i hope you have a great trip. hopefully you won't have to spend too much time in the small space. get out and enjoy the beauty of Tokyo. maybe find some cool neon.

if you find something cool, i'm sure applemilk1988 would love to know about it. she's going to tokyo in a month.

  • This is your private or business trip?

  • Suggestion: Go to Harijuku and just WATCH (film) the cRazY people there dressed all kinda weird. It's amazing at night, too. All their public squares have those gigantic video screens around the sides. Have fun and watch out for the pervs who will grab your behind in the subway. :)

  • great video.........wished I was there too

  • When are you coming to the West Coast of the United States! You have a home base! :o) I am between San Francisco and Lake Tahoe! Also near Yosemite, Napa Sonoma. LA and San Diego is about 5 1/2 hours drive...

TTYL, Have fun in Japan! WoOT wOoT!

  • woot! just when i thought the china adventures were over you bring in Japan! thats really cool and Im really hoping to see the lights, and social aspects of Japan especially since I wanted to go there too! :D

Hope you have lots of fun!

  • you should come to Okinawa,Japan (that's where I live) it's not much of a city compared to Tokyo,Japan but there are tons of american people.

  • omg omg your in tokyo can we meet plz i promise im not a stalker

  • Wow. What are you doing in Japan for a MONTH?!

  • Walking around at IKEA.

  • Somehow I doubt that is the full answer... :)

  • Don't you know? She 0wnz Ikea...

  • I love that particular Swedish food you were eating! I'm always having it when I go to my local IKEA here in Italy... But with a fork :P

  • :D

  • Have fun in Tokyo, it's crazy! If you have time you should visit Tohoku (northern Japan). It' beautiful this time of year!

  • Dang Eemma do you have a large trust fund or a really good job? I wish i could up and go everywhere like you all. Oh well whatever you are doing it must pay well.Cant wait for the new videos from Toyko. Thanks for sharing your travels.

    SPenc

P.S. have fun and be safe.

  • LOL ASIAN RUS OUR!

  • Neat. I liked seeing a slice of life from the other side of the world. Thanks for shareing!

  • you lucky mudderfucker!!! i envy you

  • (a)

  • A month in Japan with a friend. Thats sounds like so much fun :)

  • yea! for pet crickets!!! :D hehe --- "sticks" :p

  • yeayeayea, chopsticks, i know :P

  • I thought I'd give you some trouble while you were tired. I see you've rested up...that was fast. :)

  • Wow Eemma You get more beautiful everytime i watch your vids :)

  • Hey emma you have a chipped tooth ^_^. LOL you could barely use chopstix, thats cute. Have fun. That place is tight

  • have a nice stay :)

  • I'm so jealous. I want to go to Tokyo!

  • OH-MY-GOD!!! the "apartement" is very...very...terrible...bleah...:(

Tokyo, Yokohama (ah, can U buy some car-tires for me?! eheheheh) are beautiful cities...I hope U can have fun one month in Japan...;)

See an IKEA-store in Japan it's so..strange for me!!!!!! IKEA is a nord-euro icon and japanise world is totally different...we will se!;)

    Think positive!;)

  • I'm not complaining :D hihi Thanks!! ^^

  • I bet even that small apartment is expensive. The last time I was in Japan I took a train ride from Yokahama to Tokyo. It seemed like all the men wore white shirts and dark trousers. When I went into a restaurant I had to point at the pictures. Japan was like one big city.

  • Hahaha exactly :D

  • Wow that Ikea looks exactly the smae as in Canada too, lol. Even the food is the same. :)

  • Damn, that "apartment" really looks more like a jail then anything else, and even then just for one person. I would agree with almerfud22 if it was like max. 2 weeks maybe but not for a month...

I hope the weather etc is nice enough so you can be out as much as possible and looking forward to see your view on Tokyo! PS; You look real tired, get some sleep gumman ^^

  • It's not a jail, mmmkay? :P We've got openable windows and a fridge!

Weve had awesome weather, but today it's raining!! :( ttyl

  • Hehe, sowwy ^^

That fridge looks pretty cool btw!

I noticed, but monday it's like real hot again so

don't worry ^^(at least if my webpage is right) ;P

  • Are you on an Asian tour or something?

  • Have a good travel, Emma!

I'm sure it isn't so pleasant, to find those crickets... but... at least you got an Internet connection! And, well... poor crickets, even them need their own legs! ;-)

Thank you for sharing these "diaries" from your trip!

Definitely, traveling all around the world is your business! :-)

  • Thanks :)

  • u got me being jealous

  • the size of the place doesn't really matter does it? I mean your pretty much going to use it just for sleeping and showering so what does it matter if its small or huge.

  • My point.

  • you actually thought you wouldn't have internet access in Tokyo? Isn't every electronic device made in Japan? I would be shocked if you didn't have internet access. While you're there, you should do everything they did in the movie "lost in translation", including the karaoke. I hear karaoke is big there.

  • Yeahhhhhhhhh!!!!!! I'm so glad you have the internet there, now you can post thoughtout your trip!!!!! Glad your save!!!

  • !!!!!! :D

  • That's crazy awesome.

  • Well you just got back from 3 weeks in the worlds biggest ChinaTown. Now we find you in posting videos from Jokko, Tiapan. What business brings you to Japan?

  • hihi :D I'm just here for fun! On a vacation! :D

  • I'd love to go to tokyo, will you take me with you next time?..

  • Tokyo girl tokyo girl you got the moves to rule the world...have a awesome time!

p.s get rid of that scary cricket!;D

  • You seem to be enjoying yourself AND you have internet access! I look forward to you showing us some of Tokyo - whenever you get around to it. Such a great experience for you! Enjoy it.

  • Thank you Brian! :) (F)

  • When are you coming to Canada?

  • Are they playing Bingo in Toyko?

  • haven't seen any yet!!! :D Just tons and tons of arcades with pinball machines and shit. But no old ppl there.

  • Wow that was random, Why are you there for a month? Ive always wanted to go to Japan have a good time :)

  • mhm :) Just for a vacation!

  • mannn..... You love shopping at IKEA!! :]

    I LOVE Swedish Meatballs :D

ohh and one last thing the first time i watched this i thought you said intimate access and I was like wait what did she say bu then i went back and found out you said internet access :P

  • LOL :P

  • EEEEMMMMMMAA

  • Cool!

  • intimate access.. that's cool.

  • lol, that's what I thought she said at first too!

  • "with legs and stuff" :P awesome :P

Great that you can give as a view of your days in Tokyo :D

Have a great time ;) (don't waste it in the apartment, surfing the internet :P and screaming because of the cricket)

  • Glad to see you again...:-) No swedish people at IKEA over there? haha, but don't they at least try to look swedish? Oh, and your little pet would probably be very popular food in China?!?

    btw, loved the "Hejdå-sign"! ;-)

  • Haha :P We'll just have to figure some way out to catch the damn thing first, after that we'll have him for dinner! MOHAHA

  • lol (6)

  • Swedish meetballs in Holland everybody loves them, ther people who go to IKEA just for the meatballs.

Have a great time!! Baked Cricket with chocolate makes great food!!!!

  • Hahah, scoop that cricket in a cup and throw him out the window or something :P Ikea, your home away from home! Jet lag sucks, can take awhile but hopefully you're back on track! Rice pillows, hope you ate the rice before replacing them! Great to see you checking in, and look foward to more vid's from you in tokyo!! :D

  • He's too fast! :P Thanks! ^^

  • Have fun! =D

  • hey! you're getting better with chopsticks. way to go!

  • You have internet access in Tokyo? That is amazing :) Don't spend all your time online!!!

  • You're in Tokyo! That's great! You're lucky, everywhere you are, you can feel at home... with ikea! lol

  • Oh goodness... I am SO jealous! I've always wanted to visit Japan. -I'd really like to go to Okinawa though, simply because of the pineapple park. Hehe! :)

  • I have a two dollar ikea rat stuffed toy. I think it's called "ratta"? It's not as interesting as your little cricket friend.

  • LOL! :D Råtta!

  • IKEA rules the world.

That must be a horrible jet lag you have, looking so tired. Anyway, enjoy your stay. :)

  • It's weird how the IKEA in Tokyo is so much bigger? Especially since land is so expensive there.

  • I guess it's bigger cause Japan has a waaay higher population than Sweden. I wonder if they sell the same stuff as in Sweden/Europe.

  • True, but IKEA is swedish. Yepp, they had the same stuff!

  • Your in tokyo! sweet :D

  • You mean chopsticks?

  • Right, that was the word i was looking for!

  • EMMA!!!!! Du e saknad!!!

  • Puss!!!

  • a pet cricket, that is great stuff!

  • You can have him of you want!

  • I had crickets once! They are kind of cute when they hop around but it's disconcerting to not have them in a cage... And they can be VERY loud.
