Awesome! Just discovered your masterpieces :D Can you tell me tho' .. what is the difference between Modpodge & Gesso? when do we use one over the other? I've been altering things and hve always used modpodge & now I am very curious to use gesso but not sure if I'll get the same effect or if I am using it correctly. Just beautiful! I have a question. since you used a graphite pencil for some of the shading, would you spray a fixative on this finished piece to keep it from smearing? Thanks!

I think I might just have to take the challenge! A while back I tried something similar. I only allowed myself to use black & white on the background, but I could do the face and neck as I normally would. I then chose an accent colour, such as red or yellow that I could use on the hair & to accent collage details, such as stars or hearts. Though I liked the effect, I think I prefer your use of neutral tones on everything with the touch of pink to the cheeks toward the end. Brilliant!

Beautiful. I spent about an hour the other day trying to draw a face similar to this.. and I just couldn't do it... and you whip this up this face in less than sixty seconds.. ok well a little more if it wasn't sped up... but still... wow. Love the challenge and you met it.

I really, really, really like how you did the qtip technique for the white swirl. For limiting yourself with just these few colors, you did an awesome job. I am like watching in awe. I am new to acrylic paints and not liking it too well. TFS
