well - i grew up in a muslim family - the vast majority of them are just normal people actually - they don't adhere fully to it - nearly all 'muslims' need to be hypocritical cos the rules are quite restrictive so they just bend the rules. the news captures parts of part of the reality - basically. it's as 'scary' as the other scriptures - it's just that it encourages more 'literalism' - but as i say, it's not adhered to by the general public.
