The only reason a child would be working on a farm here is if it was a small non profit family owned hobby farm and they were doing "chores". Our big industrial farms use men. There's no "illegally" about it. The Japanese simply refuse to recognize Australia's extremely spurious claim of ownership over waters thousands of km from their continental shelf. Actually it is illegal due to Japan being a signatory of the IWC. Since they signed they agree that the binding rules of the IWC are laws to all Japanese. They could resign the IWC but have not.

The IWC has banned all commercial whaling for member states. Since the whale meet is sold in Japan it is commercial. If they really were whaling for science they could donate the meat to feed the poor and hungry instead of sell and violate the law they have agreed to.

If you look at the tail of the Ady Gil it's very clear BEFORE the collision that the motors have churned up and are spraying white BACK, which means the Ady Gil had fired up it's motors and was moving FORWARD towards the larger ship. The Ady Gil is much faster and more maneuverable than the larger ship and could have easily gotten out of the way, the larger ship could not have changed course as quickly as people think. These are not cars, if you know how ships move you'd understand.

2 facts you continually & willfully overlook. First, the Ady was moving forward during the entire video as shown by the wake at the back THE ENTIRE TIME. Secondly, towards the end of the longer & unedited version of this video the wake at the back of the Japanese boat can clearly be seen which indicates a continuous, unbroken turn to their left. In what frame of reference was the Ady moving forward? Not in relation to the original course of the Maru. This is very clear in the video. Of course there is wind, waves and current. Of course the captain of the Ady would need to have a small motion over the water so they could maintain heading.

In the longest version I have seen there is a very clear turn to the right followed by a turn to the left that is too late.
